I had the wiper arm replacement done yesterday. It was all covered by the 3/60000 warranty. The new wipers actually do function as wipers are supposed to

the ones who are having this problem, did you have the flemsy wipers?

I have the flemsy wipers and have been in a "raining cats and dogs" type rain and seems to wipe the window clean. Did this pertain to a certain type wiper?

I don't see how wipers are going to help you. You gonna have a cracked windshield.

Was that when the "LEO" pulled you over for erratic driving? Is that what you told him you were doing? Did he believe that you were simply dodging the "Cats and Dogs" in the road?

I called the dealership about my 07 wipers (which I cant find blades for) and they said "we will have to look at them to see if they are defective first". Im sure they will just say "you need new blades" and send me on my way.

Got my Avy back today...had the wiper TSB completed (new arms and blades) and all the body-side molding replaced due to delamination. VERY satisfied

The service writer at the local Chevy dealer here told me the same thing..."we'll have to inspect and make sure they're defective..." then the next time I talked to him, he told me he had ordered the parts for the TSB....so even though I thought it was going to be a hassle, it wasn't. Not sure if it's due to GM's woes in general, but I feel like my local dealer treated me very well.

In this particular instance, given the TSB requiring part replacement of the arms, not sure how they could justify NOT replacing at least the arms, which would require new blades too, since the original style blades won't fit the replacement arms.
