Does anyone know of anyplace currently carrying a bumper for the 1st gen cladded trucks?

I would like to get a new front bumper for my truck. I want one that is more heavy duty and has a grill protector.

I realize nothing can be fully protective but I have to believe there is something out there other than a bull bar or going custom one off?

I looked in the forum as far back as 2 years and didn't see anything listed on here.

Hear take somebody makes one I haven't been able to find one little lone for a reasonable price so I'm designing and gabbing up a custom one search scratch build bumper for classes avs and it's by me so u can check that out and there's been conversation on there I talked to one guy and I can't remember the company but he says they make them I can't verify that however but check out that thread and you will find it  (y)

I spent about an hour searching the forum and other than the bull bumper which has issues I haven't seen any others.

Might have to nix the bumper though... Truck has been acting up and it is sitting at the home of a local GM Mechanic that is good friends with my GF. He thinks the Transfer case is toast and I just had that gone through with a lifetime warranty a year ago but the shop is 150 miles away...

He is going to check into it further in next couple days. I have $1500 set aside for a bumper but if I have to pay for a new transfer case or transporting my truck to detroit gets expensive...

My GF has a 2013 Silverado 1500 that has a 7,000 lb tow capacity but not sure if a tow dolly can work to pull this 6,000 lb truck... Might just try driving it there and see what happens too...

The monster bumper did come up on a search I did later but $3000 is a bit more than I want to pay. I did fill out a quote request though so we shall see..
I did like the look of the monster bumper too so we shall see...

When had the engine go out on our '99 2500 suburban an hour away from home I looked into getting a tow dolly to pull it home.  They are only rated for vehicles up to about 4000 pounds or so.  I decided to have my mechanic tow back to his shop.  Not saying you couldn't do it, but I don't know that it would be that wise.

You may want to rent a full-size trailer - that's how we got my AV back when it's engine had problems 3 hours away from home.  Didit's '13 AV pulled that very nicely.

I hear ya on the cost. 3k is a bit much for a bumper. It looks nice though. Just replaced my transfer case to.

Truck Made it to Detroit without grenading. I called the shop and let them make the decision. They decided to have me drive it and chance it broke further.

Will cost me about $100 for the rental car (They are paying part of it but due to work schedule and classes I had to make other arrangements.)

So I am still looking for a bumper but want to spend under $2000 for it...

And they reassured me their work was lifetime warrantied so no worries there.. Will spend a little extra in gas and car rental fees than worrying about repairs..
