I have noticed that there are 2 clubs listed for Michigan...

However, it appears that both are not active. I have tried to email the coordinators of those clubs, and my emails are returned undeliverable, or I get no responce.

So here are a few questions:

1. How do you start a new club (the "create" page, and "admin" pages no longer work.)

2. Is there an ability for someone to take over a club that seems to be no longer functioning?

3. Since it seems that the current clubs are gone, is it feasable to create and "entire state" club? It seems that Michigan should be a fairly easy club to get going, being the home of GM and all.

I am willing to set up and coordinate a Michigan based club, if anyone from Michigan is interested, please feel free to send me a pm.

I am hoping to get something started soon, so we could plan our first "get together" before the snow starts falling....maybe late October....

First I would contact jnspur, the region III coordinator to see if indeed there is a need for a new chapter. The link to jnspur's profile can be found HERE. From there you can send E-Mail or PM her.

bcavanau, Welcome to the Club, and to the Region! I don't know what part of MI you are from. I know the Lansing Chapter has not been very active lately, but Avalanche_XXX (Detroit area) just put together a Chevy Truck Plant Tour that took place August 2, and he has had fairly regular meets at BW3's in Novi. He is not a coordinator, he is just a guy who likes to get the AVs together. If you are interested in being a coordinator, the 2 of you might be able to work together at something! Try PMing him.

I know creating a new club stuff is not working. I don't know how to take over a club that is no longer active. Believe me, I have tried to figure it out. There is some other functions relating to member contacts that aren't quite up to speed yet, but the board is in the process of a major overhaul. Please be patient. Any member of the club can put together a GTG. It is possible to include the whole state in your club, but the registration procedure required you to pick a major city as a base.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Happy AVing,
Jen

Hi Brian,

I replied to your email just a little while ago. I think it's great if you have more time to put towards a Michigan Av club. My time is somewhat limited, but I've still tried putting together a few events.

The response to the thread I started "Michigan Av Owner's Speak Up" (click on the link in my signature) has been pretty good. Every time I plan an event, I email everyone that's posted there (some people you must PM because their email is hidden).

I'd like to see an event take place in mid to late September.

Best Regards,
Av XXX

Hi Brian,

I also just replied to you. I have similar problems like biggie is having, perhaps because I have a small region (even though their are TONS of AV's in this area) we just don't have a large group.

So far Avalance_XXX has had the best meetings, and I think he's organized the best meets so far.

Hey all! I'm new here, just bought my first Av a couple weeks ago. I want to attend/join some Club meetings that are not too far from Kalamazoo Michigan. Where do I sign up??

Hi! Welcome to the Club! Mongo Ranger & Myself are from the St. Joe/Benton Harbor area. We often go to the Kalamazoo area and we are trying to get a club started in this part of Michigan. Maybe we can meet sometime!

Cool! We're not too far away. I'd like to get a CAFCNA sticker for the front and back windows of the Av so that I can find and/or sign up some Kalamazoo people to the site. I'm looking for a source on here..............

04ArrivalBlueZ71 Welcome to the club!!! To answer your question about the decals, the Steering Committee (SC) is working on that so keep an eye out, I'm sure a post will be made on the main page when they are available. As far as recruiting more AV owners, check out our club brochure here. I know that we have tagged several AVs in the K-zoo area.

Hopefully we can get together and go out to dinner or something soon.

Hi Mongo Ranger! I can't get the link to work, but will search the site for this flyer so I can tag some Av's too........

Great! I found the .pdf link and made 6 copies. Will be looking for Av's now
Strange thing about the flyer, I set my printer up for Portrait (double checked it) and it only prints out Landscape. Is that normal or is my old printer being forced to go Landscape for some reason?

The brochure is set up to print in landscape by design. I had to do a little tweaking on mine to get it to print out just perfect. I print it on tri-fold brochure paper and it looks sharp!

Don't forget to post the ones you tag in the I Gave/Got A Club Brochure section. I usually write down the info when I tag them on a little notebook that I keep in the glove box.

Hi All and welcome new members. I hope everyone had a good holiday. I know I did! (blackchev got me the WAAG rear bumper guard) I hope to see you at a GTG sometime this year. I will be going through the 2004 Region III meet ideas shortly to come up with a list we can vote on. If you would like to see what we have so far and possibly add more...2004 Midwest Regional

Happy AVing,
Jen
