Is there a test for #15042696 door lock receiver, 2002 Z71. If I hold the key up to the dash it will lock and unlock the doors. Standing outside of the truck, it does not work. New battery in the key fob.
Electronic components age & degrade, if that's original its 22 years old & maybe a little past it. I'd try getting a $5 replacement from Aliexpress to compare with if you haven't already.
