Ripped Off Your Trailer Plug.

I read a couple postings in regards to people ripping their trailer wiring off. I had that problem with my Silverado and ripped the plug off my Av within the first week. Rather than trying to guard the plug as someone suggested it is better to move the plug up into the bumper. You can put it in the same place as the spare lock only on the opposite side of the license plate.

good idea, we are with ya, now please send me a drill bit that will give me the nice round hole I need. G-xx has already suggested a light saber. Or (heaven-forbid) actually paying somebody to do the work for me. He has been asked to leave modders anonymous as he obviously has been cured.

With regards to drilling the hole I can't help you. When I did it on my Silverado the cost of the bit, was more than having the dealership do it. So unfortunately I got them to do it. It didn't cost much and it made the plug much more accessable aswell as being protected. Money well spent.

Finally got around to having my trailer plug reinstalled in the bumper of my Av. The dealership charged me $146.00CDN, that's about $105.00US. Ihad to replace the plug and some wiring because they had been destroyed, so the actual moving of the plug only cost me an hour of labour or $60.00CDN or about $44.00US. That's a pretty cheap solution I think.
