Seats too hot?

Well, it's heated seat weather, even down here in SC!

I find that the seat gets too hot though - both in mine and my wife's '03s. I thought I was confused about how hot it was supposed to be with the number of LEDs that are lit. It doesn't seem to matter whether all three are lit or just the one - the seat gets too hot. The dealer says they 'just do that'.

Anyone else notice this?

Sure feels like that, but I'm not sticking to the seat, so I don't think so.

Uh oh, smites all around?

Dealer's "they just do that" translates into "well hell, i don't know!".

I have an 02 with heated seats, which I usually find comfortable on high, but one day the seat got extremely hot for no apparent reason. It's never done it since then. Anyone else experience random temp extremes?

Mine do get hot but that is what they are for. They do not seem to warm up as fast as some Buick's that I have owned.

buick +leather+ heated... hmm... chance you owned a 95+ riv? I love those cars  I just got my oldsmobile trofeo fully rebuilt... I can keep the seats on low all day just perfict... has anyone added heat to there 'sport leather'? vylns way worse then leather when its cold...

My 2002.....has 2 settings...high and low....there is a difference.....and always been the same for 2 years....

It heats the butt and lower back....

.Awesome option which is not a requirement for whatever I drive next

My '03 seat's heat settings work as expected - no functional complaints and the temp varies normally. The dealer service rep must be full of *@#&%^.
My only inconvenience is the placement of the buttons and the LED's are impossible to see on a bright day & with sunglasses on. So if you bump them in those conditions, while controlling other nearby switches, you have a warm reminder and can't see if you made them hotter or off before you roast your ___ !

I love the heated seats in my '03. They get real hot, real quick. Perfect after a long day of snowmobiling etc. I have a friend with an '03 Navigator ("Fancy F*rd" :D: ) that has heated seats, but they have a built-in timer that turns them off after about 8 minutes of use. WTF????
