Some asked if a wbh custom fiberglass wiper cowl like this one:

Blue003.jpg

would fit a cladded AV.? Well i dont know.

I took pics of my stock wiper cowl.? If your stock wiper cowl from your cladded AV looks identical to this one,...well i dont see why it wouldnt fit.

Please correct me if im wrong. I dont drive cladded. Just posting a pic and trying to help to those interested.

Hoping the edge of the fenders where they meet the doors from cladded are the same as wbh.

NOTE** Pay attention to details like corners and such. Print out these pics if needed (y)

How about looking for a part number on there?  Probably the easiest comparison.

 never thought of flipping it over!

P/N = 15060065          (wbh)

Superceded number

15829661 is the replacement.  I just see it listing 2000-2006, not sure whether it's Silverado/Av WBH or more yet.

I know that I'm a little behind the eight ball here but has anyone installed a fiberglass wiper cowl on their 02 cladded?  I'd like to replace mine as it vibrates against the windshield at over 60 mph.  Can anyone help?  Will the above work?

Thanks but it really is the cowl.  You can see it vibrate against the windshield and feel it through the glass.  There are replacement fiberglass ones like in this thread but I haven't found anything for an '02 yet.

That noise maybe the rubber flaps on the factory wiper cowl.

This is the part number of my factory wiper cowl    P/N = 15060065 (wbh).

If your cladded factory wiper cowl is the same part number, then the fiberglass cowl above will fit.

This is what it would look like after installation

Thanks.  I'll pull the cowl and take a look at the part number.  Where did you pick up your fiberglass cowl and what year is your Avalanche?

By the way...I've seen photos of your SS before and you have the best looking Avalanche that I've seen yet.  It's nice to see someone who puts time into their toys.

damn, BD! THAT looks sweet!!! so (to ask a stupid girl question) i guess those pita vents that leaves, pine straw and crap get stuck in are not needed for proper cowl function? (one more girl question? what is the function of the cowl? just to move water from the bottom of the windshieldaway from the engine compartment??)

Thank you for the kind comment.  Im not done yet. I just dropped off a set of Denali running boards with the door & fender mouldings to my painter today

Heres the link for the fiberglass cowl.  http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/SSE_Wiper_Cowls.html Smooth Wiper Cowl (#70124-Fiberglass): 03'-06 silverado pickup.
Make sure is in one piece after delivery and after the paint job as its pretty flimsy. If you waive it like a flag, sure will snap in half.

If you ever decide to install this, remove the hood for such installation with the help of someone. The instructions states "removing the hood is not nessesary".Yeah right!.  Well,my wife helped me on that.

Thanx MO.  I dont know whats the function of the cowl. Its not a heat extractor for sure.  It has a rubber seal against the glass and i suspect thats to detour rain water to the sides.  Thats something the fiberglass cowl doesnt have and cannot be reattached. (i tried that).

....also,i dont know how much junk there is under it as i've never cared to look
