Slick 50 snake oil or not

Does anyone have any first and testimony regarding Slick 50. I just started using it in my 99' Jimmy because it's pushing 135,000mi and still running relatively strong for a 4.3. I figured that any type of preventive maitainece could not hurt a vehicle that has already proven itself time and time again.
I literally LOVE my AV and was wondering if it would be wise or a waste of money to run the Slick 50 in her. I know that it's not promoted nearly as much as it was when it first hit the sceen.

It's snake oil. Stay away! Instead, do your regular oil changes with new oil filter till you get about 6000 miles. Then it's time for an engine flush and some 5W30(up north), 10W30(down where you are) Amsoil with an Amsoil filter from that point on. Your engine will last and last. My last truck was a 1994 K-1500 Blazer Sport and it lasted 175,000 miles and never touched the engine.
