Here is a review by New Car Test Drive.com for the 2003 Chevy Avalanche:

2003 Chevrolet Avalanche
Tahoe roominess with Silverado capability.

By Mitch McCullough, Editor-in-Chief

Longer than a Suburban, the Chevy Avalanche combines the comfort of a Tahoe with the load-hauling capability of a long-bed Silverado pickup. That's an impressive combination for someone who wants the utility of a full, eight-foot bed, yet needs seating for four, five or six people.

It may not be cheap, but the Chevrolet Avalanche is one slick, innovative truck.... the rest of the story

Over all I thought it was a well researched and written article. ?They even point out a need/use for the cladding. ?I thought that was a plus for the writer.

Good article..reconfirms what I already thought. Just got to get the cash together to buy it.

Great Article, only thing he left out was the best option available for the Avalanche.

Love those "Feedback" links.

How can the Av be longer than the Suburban both have the same 130' wheelbase. Could the writer have been wrong??

With the wheelbase @ 130 inches, then the AV just has more truck body built forward and aft of the wheels, making the AV longer than the Suburban.

Roy in Tampa :D
