05 Avalanche w/o cladding

I bought my 05 avalanche a couple weeks ago and come find out I need a few things. A hood cause I can’t get whatever is on it off and a driver side fender cause the flare was hiding rot. I really don’t wanna spend the $300 for one definitely when the truck looks exactly the same and only $100. Could you guys let me know if the truck fender would work or not.

What truck fender are you referring? The Avalanche is built off of the Suburban frame and most of it's parts are shared with it or maybe a Tahoe of same year if you have an uncladded version AV. I don't know if a Silverado fender will fit or not though.

It’s all scratch up and has some odd coating on it that I can’t get off and also rusting a little

So what will you replace with? one that needs to be painted?

Why not just sand what you have and paint it?
