The line is drawn.  No middle ground.  So, which side are you on?

You don't have to post which way you voted, but feel free to leave commentary.

LOVE IT! In my opinion there is more to love than to hate. I do miss the cladding and a few other things BUT they have taken great strides with the coil over shocks, the styling, the rear camera, the better interior, the remote locking counterbalanced tailgate, etc. etc. etc......

I voted burn but I do want to see the Z71, I do like the new tahoe's and Suburban's but I don't like it on the Avalanche, one of the reason's I bought the Avalanche is because it was different then every thing else on the road.  All well I put in our 1st stock order for a new 2007 maybe I will like it better when I see it in person.

I voted to keep it mainly because of the potential seen in the Z71 coming on down the road, I don't care much for the SOM color they depicted the auto show AV in I bet you any amount of money had they gone with say black more people would have leaned into it a little more....

I want it up close and personal then we take it from there, either way I'm not going to rush out the door and get rid of my 02 for one anytime soon..

+1

I hate it. Looks like an offspring of a Ridgeline and Tahoe.  :E: :E:
I traded my 02 AV for the Ram because a 4 door truck was what I really needed at the time.  My plans were to trade the 02 and then trade back for the AV in 07 or 08. Thats why I've been still lurking aroung this great forum. I know they have made some good improvements to the 07, but I still can't get past the looks, for now anyway. Now I wished I would have kept my 02. I wouldn't trade my Ram in for it, but maybe thats a blessing in disguise for me. Now that I know I wont trade for the 07 AV, unless they come out with a good looking cladded version, I might trade for this........

I like it. Final take home price will decide if I make the switch.

I like it....

Especially the options and the interior...so much more then my 2002.....
in 2002 there were like 5 options...

1500 or 2500
Bench or Bucket seats
Cloth, sport leather or Heated leather
Auto climate or Manual
z66,Z71, 2wd or 4wd (wheels & tires came with these packages)
Sunroof or not...
roof Rack
Running  boards

It was easy in 2002....no if you get this you cannot get that....blah blah blah...

So for me...the 2007 presents interesting features I never had the option of thinking I wanted or not....

only issue is it does not have cladding...well that is what MODS are for....I wonder who will be the first to apply rhino liner or something to sides....

IN MY OPINION , THE REAL AVALANCHE IS THE CLADDED ONE... IT HAD THE DISTINCT FRONT END AND THE UNIQUE CLADDING WITCH MADE IT STAND OUT FROM ALL OTHER SUV AND PICK UP TRUCKS. IT LOOKED BEEFER... :B: :B: WHEN GM MADE THE NEW NON CLADDED AVALANCHE IT SHARED THE SAME FRONT END AS THE SILVERADO, SO WHEN YOU SPOTTED ?ONE COMMING FRONT ON, YOU DIDN'T KNOW IF WAS A SILVERADO OR IF IT WAS AN AVALANCHE... SAME GOES FOR THE NEW 07. IT LOOK MUCH LIKE THE ALL NEW CHEVY TAHOE... I ALSO THINK WHEN GM REVILES THE ALL NEW SILVERADO IT WILL SHARE THE SAME FEATURES AS THE 07 AVALANCHE.... :E: :E:

Personally I love it. It has a certain refinement to it and the front of the Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche is still agressive in my opinion. The quality is light years ahead, just go look at a Tahoe and notice the panel gaps etc. Plus the interior looks like it would be at home in a Lexus. The engine has more power, plenty for me since I don't pull anything super heavy so the loss of a few lb/ft of torque doesn't bother me, that and the Active fuel management means it will get better milage. I will buy one as soon as I can get one!   :B:

I dont like it, it lost everything that made it stand out from the crowd. the 07 looks more luxury, more cadillac-ish, it lost that in-your-face aggressive look. It also lost the CLADDING, i cant think of anything more useful on my 02 than the cladding. My AVs cladding took a lot of beating, whether its traffic accident or off-raod damage, and it still looks brand new, and i'm pretty sure if i didnt have my cladding i would have been faced with too many bills. The bottom line is , NO CLADDING NO LIKE ?:beating:

  Mine..Mine..MINE.

I love it.  I don't care that the front end styling is the same as the Tahoe and Suburban.  The original Avalanche concept truck way back when looked just like the 99-02 Silverado with lots of goodies and the midgate, and I LOVED that.  Then they decided to make it unique (worked), and attractive in its own way (only worked in some color schemes and with certain add-ons / customizations).  IMO, 2006- Avalanche's have never looked as sharp to me as that first concept.

But the new 2007s have changed all that.  I think the Tahoe and Suburban are handsome, and the Avalanche only adds to the appeal by keeping all the trucky changes that it's always had over its SUV brethren.

Now if I can just afford it on a trade in..  :D
