20 mph in Park - You have to see this!

Something strange happened tonight as I was taking my son to the YMCA. I left our hood like I always do, put'zn along watching for kids, cruz'n 20 or so everything was cool. Got to the stop sign. Decided to to get on it at the first opening in traffic. Changed to 3 on the shift column. Traffic cleared and I nailed it turning left across two lanes plus the turning lane. Not abusing the girl, just getting on it good. Brought it upto 65ish within a couple of blocks smiling the whole way, coasted for a bit then began slowing for the stop light ahead so I could turn right. As I approached the light I noticed the speedometer showed almost 55 as I was nearly stopped! When I rounded the corner the speedo showed 45mph as I made a 90deg right hand turn. I pulled into a parking spot at the YMCA and saw 20mph on the speedo with the key out of the ignition. I have traveled 15 miles with the speedo showing 20+ my real speed since this began. The Av was turned off and restarted 6 time before I took this picture. Has anyone else experienced this? I am due for an oil change (check up) in 200 or so miles. I will let you know what the dealer says when I take it in.

Computer problem
Cluster problem
VSS problem
Ignition switch problem...

Do find out and tell us...as you could get speeding ticket...

I believe the speedometer is computer controlled, as you can recalibrate your speedometer if you put larger tires on with the various power controllers on the market. Try disconnecting your battery for 10 minutes to reset the computer and then reconnect it. That may solve the problem.

If they have to replace the cluster under warranty, tell them you want an Escalade Platinum edition cluster for your trouble.

Hey Z66BUTCH, if you like this mod, try the one that I got stuck with......put some of the "tainted" Shell gas in your tank and the gas neddle will always read full.......imagine, you will never have to put gas in this tank again!

They replaced the cluster under warranty. I asked if I could upgrade the cluster and pay the difference since it had to be replaced, they said they could not replace it with a different part.
