My rig has only 20K, mostly Hwy miles, with modest towing. The front suspension was resting on the snubbers, and porpoising pretty bad at speed on hammered concrete highways, especially downhill....I have run down some pretty steep hills in the SFO area. I cranked up the bars 3.5 turns, and picked up an inch of space between the fenderwells and tire, but I only have about 2 turns left....at this rate I'm going to need new bars soon. I have already upgraded the shocks to Rancho 9000, and have the Road Master setup in back....I'm at click #8 (of 10) onthe shocks and the ride is well-damped.. Does anyone make a beefier torsion bar for this 7000Lb beast? Thanks,
JM
PS the "H" version of the SuperChips Tuner is awesome, a HUGE improvment with the Magna-Flow.

this is the wrong topic, I'm asking about torsion bars. Please email me direct at

There is a post regarding different torsion bars (with different spring rates) posted somewhere on these forums. Another alternative would be using different keys. Someone has mentioned using the "green" torsion keys from a 1500 Z71 to achieve a moderate lift without cranking up the torsion bolts. The key have a different index than the stock 2500's. The z71 has a slight lift in stock position. This will allow you to reset your bolt back to the original postion (less the 3 or so cranks) and still gain about an inch or so of lift.
