2003 Climate Controls For 2002??

I was wondering if anyone knows if you would be able to get the 2003 dual climate controls and use them in the 2002. If so would that be a part that only the dealer would sell for thousands of dollars.

It was my understanding that the reason many of the 03 upgrades would not work on the 02 was because GM changed the wiring harness. Does anyone have more information on this?

Why not get the 2003 Avalanche?

You can't just get the controls and use them in an '02.

Its a great idea, but I think it would be a bit more complex. For starters, I believe you would need TWO blowers, new ducts under the dash, etc. etc....

I think the bigger question is -- will the climate control from the Cadillac Escalde EXT (2002 model) work in a 2002 Avalanche...

I would be shocked if the Avalanche only had one blower fan in it due it's size and complexity of the climate control ducts (rear seat, under seat, etc. etc.). This is probably a good question for Jason at JP Customs...
