Okay,

It is time to make the plung, my Jimmy doesn't cut it and the wife won't let me drive the Suburban, so what are people paying for the 2003. I notice you can get a 2003 Silverado at invoice plus the 1K rebate.

Michael

I paid around 300 over my dealers invoice. Which was about 800 over the Kelly blue book invoice. This is mostly due to the so called "advertising cost" which is something the dealer would not cut for me. The dealer had the truck I wanted so I went with the deal.

Gabe

I'm getting it for a $100 over invoice and probably that $1000 rebate (so long as it is still going on when mine arrives med-septmber). By the way does anyone know how long that rebate goes for?

Buy an -02. I got mine Pewter Metalic, Z-66 w/ hard cover loaded for $100 over dealer invoice and $2500 rebate! with 2.3% for 54 months.
Could ahve gotten 0% for up to 60 months here but I needed the rebate to soften the blow of a expensive vehicle.

Really not alot to choose from, mainly Soft cover Toneu instead of the Hard top- but we searched and got one...
The dealers WANT to move the 02's and make room...

The few words that come to mind when it comes to the 03' is "improved" in certain regards....and more expensive..... :B:

I saw something in the news today about Ford offering rebates on 2003 autos and boosting the rebates on 2002's. So, you've got to figure that there will soon be some additional incentives on the 2003 GM's (aside from $1000 back and financing deals). :-X

My friend in Birmingham just called to tell me that he's settled a deal for a 2003 Yukon. I was happy for him and asked him why he went for a 2003 instead of getting the rebates and all on a 2002. He said because the dealer offered him the Yukon at $300 over invoice, $2500 rebate and 0% financing for 60 months.

Dang! That's a deal! I just can't believe that though...on a 2003?! Where are those numbers for our AV's? :8: :7:

(But I'm really happy for him)

That is a smoken deal, but really sounds like he got a 2002 Yukon.

I would run down and take a 2003 Yukon for that, what dealer did he get the deal at.

This past weekend, my wife and I went to Midway Chevrolet in El Paso, TX where they had about 6 of the 2003 models on the lot. We test drove a 2003 Z66 and then sat down with the sales rep. I asked for a figure on the 03 (Z66, full leather, sunroof, convenience and personal security packages, tow package...NO DVD, NO XM radio, NO racks or bars, NO Hooters girls on the bumper, etc.). I told him that he had ONE SHOT at the price so make it good.

His figure was: $38,150 which is about $41,000 Out the Door (**Yes folks that is Full MSRP**)
He did not offer the $1,000 rebate either

We Walked OUT.

If you want a GOOD DEAL (for them).....Go to Midway Chevrolet in El Paso, TX :9:

WestTexAvy ... that is sad!

Ordered 2003 Red Z66 in Escondido, CA (N. San Diego, CA)

$500 over invoice plus whatever rebates are in effect when the red Supermobile arrives.

Dealer tells me the incentives are fazing out on the 2002s and pointing toward greater incentives/rebates on 2003s. Presently there is $1,000 rebate on 2003 which I think expires 9/20.

My order has been accepted by GM, but I still await news of the tentative build week.

I am thinking postive that there will be a nice-sized rebate by the time the Supermobile arrives.

Alert!! Chevrolet has raised the base MSRP price on 2003 Avalanches by almost $1000 and the prices of some of the options have been raised also, some by up to $100. Glad I locked in the old prices when I ordered a couple of weeks ago.

The dealer where I got my Z66 matched carsdirect.com price and then gave me the current $2,000 Chevy rebate and another 750.00 for being a loyal chevy customer. The chevy loyal customer rebate was for trading my Impala in on the AV and staying with a Chevy vehicle.

After it was all said and done I got my Z66 for almost $6000 below the window sticker.

My 2003 sticker was $41,201

I used GM Supplier pricing which dropped it to $34,700 plus $1000 rebate, and $500 bonus cash back.

I thought I did ok, but there are others here that seem to have done better without the "no haggle set price" of Supplier pricing.

new to the club, i ordered the Z-66 in onyx black with charcoal leather- sunroof, roof racks, tow package, driver convenience package basicaly everything but the dvd player and only because i couldnt have it! all for $37700 with tax and liscence total. its below MSRP slightly but i dont get it till mid november if the GM production slow down and the dock workers strike :7: dont encroach on my happiness.

I don't know how you can tell how much you actually paid for a vehicle when you have a trade in. When you trade in a vehicle they don't have to make anything on the new one because they are gettin' you on the trade in.
I sold my old truck myself for about $3000-$4000 more than I would have gotten on trade. Does that mean I paid that much less for my new one?

Gabe- I paid what you did, essentially $800 over FACTORY invoice and went with the 0%. We'll see if I can make up the rebate difference in the market with my $40K. I think people are being fooled by the inflated DEALER invoice. When my dealer brought that hokie little, ginned up, ink jet printed, piece of rag to me I almost died.

Thanks for this thread, we took a test drive last night but told the sales guy that sold us our TrailBlazer I wasn't talking numbers yet. I did a carsdirect pricing for a Z66; Convenience/security packages, WOL tires, power seats, luggage rack, trailer eq., 6CD, leather, report came in at 32,356 after the 2,000 rebate.

Any comments?

I did a carsdirect pricing for a Z66

Hey Y-Guy,

Talk about having something in common! I just bought a Trailblazer a few months ago and just last month purchased a Z-66 Av. Thought I was reading my own post for a second. Weird!

Anyway, I used carsdirect.com as my sales motivator. The dealer beat carsdirect.com's price by $100.00. I was happy and when all was said and done, I paid almost $6,000 off window sticker. :). Good Luck!

Bought my '03 Av (which is on the way!!) for about $3000 under invoice - roughly $33K (that includes the rebate). It's a blue Z-71 with all options except the DVD player and the running boards.

I just put my current car (1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX) on the market Saturday and sold it last night! Much better than a trade in from the dealer. Hopefully the Av will arrive soon, as carpooling with my wife in her Galant SUCKS!

Chris

Wow...it is truly amazing how much more expensive my Av would have been if I was purchasing a 03 with all the options I have now....my Av had stickered for 40 and change....I got it for 36.....would have cost me 38+ would I have purchased it now.....that is nuts....I'm so happy I went and bought then....lucked out... :B:

I called dealer two days ago and he said my truck was in. 1500 Arrival Blue Z66 2003 loaded except for sunroof and DVD player and XM radio. MSRP was $37,980. He dropped the price to $31,850 including the rebate. Out the door price of $34,301 with 7% tax and all fees. I thought this was pretty good. Better than carsdirect could do.
