I want one.

However the wife has made it very clear that my next Avalanche will be nothing newer than a 2007. ;D

I understand that the seats in TNF are unheated. In Canada, it's a hefty premium for TNF. Playing devil's advocate, I personally can't see the value, but there may be something that I'm missing in terms of what you get.

TNF is just a looks thing. No real functional differences like the z71 or z66. I like the extras, and all add on differences, but I agree, I don't think it's worth how much they charge. I'd much rather take the differnce (around $1500-2000 right?) toward my own personal mods.

That does look sweet though.

I saw that NFE when I went to the Canyon Lake cruise. Goo got some really great shots. The window sticker on that unit was over 45,000. But it was nice (although I dont care for the exterior color) JMHO

No acually the sticker was only $42,741.00 I don't think you can get an Av over 45K with out adding ADMU or Mods

2003 Avalanche 1500 4WD
Sage Green Met
Dark Charcoal Trim

Base Price $34,394.00
P265/70R17 OOR WOL Tires $125
Driver Convenience Package $592
Rear Seat Entertainment System $1,295
The North Face Edition $5,100
Trailering Equipment $165
XM Satellite Radio-100 channels $395

Total MSRP $42,741.00

Sales price that they gave me for me is $38,675.00
-1,500 rebate
-500 bonus cash
-Trade-In

WOW WHAT A DEAL
I would do it but I would most likly get fired from M.J. Goss Motors

And a price thing. Well you do get those cute little backpacks. :cautious: Now if the North Face Edition came with a lift, wench, better off-road tires, and some other basic off-roading equipt to match with the theme of the edition's namesake - - well, then I would b more interested. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice looking AV. I just can't justify the extra cost.

I think if it came with a wench we could expect a much higher cost, both up-front an in maintenance! >:D

Lets see what you get with a NF (2002):

White faced instruments - a popular mod

Engine block heater - a ~$35 item

Leather interior unique to edition made by TNF

All the Z71 stuff

TNF badged floor matts (oooh, trick beyond words!)

Day Packs (2) ?I have seen these sell on ebay for close ?to $100 each.

"Water Duffalo" bags I have seen these on ebay go for over $100 a piece.

A couple of c-pillar badges

All in all, a fairly costly option package.
? ?

I'll give it a try, Lance. Might not turn out very well though. At night, all the numbers appear white, while the white background goes black. All you see are the numbers and needle.

The first and foremost item I would like to thief off the North Face Edition Av for myself would be the unique leather seats....I love them in charcoal...with the trim etc.....with all the available cluster guages and overlays they have available now ...I much rather go with the Escalade instrument cluster over the NF cluster.....everything else would be a nice edition...but just can't justify the heafty pricetag..associated with it.. :B:

I actually really like NF edition. I know it is a bit too much, but, on the other hand, it includes some packages that by themselves would cost a good sum. Of course, the good thing is the seats are really good on the NF edition. I don't know about the luggage though...

If some of the accessories aren't to your liking ...you may attempt to sell them and make a portion of your money back...of course this is not a real realistic way of looking at it ..considering the dealership will always charge you more than what you will be able to sell them for... :B: I don't have much use for daypacks and water buffalo's... :) :B:

I'm not sure my wife would like the "wench" option with the avalanche. ?>:D

A winch would be nice.... ;)

Other than the duffel bags I didn't like the TNF edition much... although the guages are definately cool.... the seats to me are screwy lookin... proly just me..
