At work today we got price's on all new 2004 trucks but the Avalanche and Colorado but we should have the Avalanche Prices this week soon as I have them I will post them.

My understanding is that the Colorado replaces the S-10.

I think so, kind of like how the new TrailBlazer is a little bigger than the older S-10 style Blazer.

Is the Colorado built on the same chassis as the TrailBlazer? That would seem to make sense in an evolutionary sense.

Moondoger, I've heard that for 04, the GM Rebate will only be $1000 + other rebates (conquest, loyalty, military, and oldsmobile), therefore the difference between 03 will be $3000, since GM Rebate for 03 is $4000.

They want to get rid of the 03 :) first.

Also if you're waiting for the 04, the best price will be around winter time (january or february) because the demand for truck and 4wd are going down after winter.

Plus if you get 04, most dealer will only sell invoice but for 03, you can still find some dealers selling under invoice.

ok ok I see I have a few question
1st the sun and sound package discount is if you do not want the sun and sound package they they give you $1,000.00 off the price

2nd I am not sure yet what the V3A is yet I dont know if it is just a grill or a brush Guard.

3rd. Yes the 2500 2WD was discontinued they only make a 2500 4WD now

4th. Preferred Equipment Packages is where they package things to geather for less options like in the Z71 they put off-road package, trailering package, skid plates, ect... it is like if you buy a silverado pickup you have Base Truck, LS, or LT they are just packages base, better, best see what I mean??

Any more questions? I am more then happy to answer them or can I clearafy any thing I have said here?
 
When will these prices start showing up on Edmunds or Kelly's web sites so that we can really get the detail on what the different option packages include and which ones can be mixed and matched? ???

The info posted on this thread is appreciated, but it is too difficult to decipher which option group includes what items and where there is an overlap between groups. I also realize that if you get a certain option group that it may preclude another option item group which can't be ordered along with the other one. Thanks for any more info. ;D
 
Most likly should be showing up on Kelly soon I would think but I am not sure if I get some free time I will post what options include what

That's strange, they charge you $1420 or $2995 for the package depending on which other options you want to get, but only knock $1000 off if you decide you dont' want it? "Sun and Sound" sounds like it's probably Sunroof and Bose stereo if I had to make a guess. Still sounds like there's something else going on there.

Then again, it could be like the hard bedcover panels. You get $600 back if you ask for soft cover instead, but costs you quite a bit more than $600 to buy it from scratch.

I'm interested to see if the Grille Guard is a possible alternative to CarriageWorks or Stull billet grill. Isn't the Stabilitrac a new option for the Avalanche also?
 
The Sun and Sound Package is Power Sunroof and XM radio it is wierd I will know more on the "discount" when they get the price's on GM Auto Book where I can just push a button and see what discounts ect....

Intimidatoruag...the Ground Effects Package was around in 2003 also it is Mud Flaps, and a Front air dam

Thanks for your complament but I do have to say no one could take goo929's place he was a great guy

Stabilitrac..the thing I don't Like about it is you lose your locking diffential and traction assist I personaly if I were getting a 2WD would get the locking differential and traction assist togeather to maximize my traction for towing, gravel roads ect....but is city driving is all you do the Stabilitrac would be great!
 
with stabilitrac you lose the locker...........what a bummer.........
