2004 chevy avalanche z71

Just got a used avalanche, and when you go to start it, you'll hear the starter try, but not start, but if you hold the key down, it'll start. I went to autozone just to check the battery, and they said the battery and starter were okay, but once it was started, it said the battery was bad, even though it was fine and had 71% life. Then I went out to start it after a week of sitting, and it won't start!

Time for a new battery, I'm thinking.

Did Autozone perform a "load test"?

That will give you a better idea of the health of the battery.
