this is my first time to see those pics.looks more sleek. doesnt look like the f**d look-alike i have seen here before. cant wait to see it without the camoflauge(sp?)!

I agree that it looks like an Expedition, If they put the cladding on it , thenit would have its distinct look again.

If they're smart they wouldn't mess with it too much, then it'll lose the unique-ness of the AV

no cladding = uniqueness already lost

:6:

I do not see much difference myself between these pics and the current 2005 AV. ???  Also, just b/c the one pic we have of the 2007 is WBH does not mean they all will be w/o cladding.  I know there are rumors that the cladding will be phased out, but, to my knowledge they are still only rumors and not fact. >:D Fortunately I like cladding and WBH, so when I get my 2007 I will be happy either way ;D

I will be glad when we get somepics of an AV w/o the "clothing" on. I want to see what they look like :E: :E:

Why does everything have to go for the jellybean look?  I hate the way car and trucks are all going to the rounded look of an inflated balloon.  Round = soft. Soft is not the impression you want from a 4x4!

The rounded jelly bean look is DEFINITELY not the trend for Cadillac, and their sales have never been better!

Rounded edges and corners are definitely the trend, though. It seems to be used in every product line. It's getting to hard to tell a Ford from a Chevy from a Honda anymore.

Remember the nice hard lines and sharp edges of the mid & late sixties and early seventies? A Roadrunner didn't look like a Impala and a Lincoln didn't look like a Delta 88. They all had their own design and personalities.

Now, with very few exceptions, they are all singing from the same hymnal.

found some new photos of 2007 avalanche, don't really like much.
Like my 03 cladded Z71 better.

sorry, forgot the site.

Judging by the amount of available Mods out there,
I am sure someone will develop aftermarket cladding for those of you who wish to hide the bottom half of your trucks under plastic ;D

It's available now albeit not as extensive as OEM. More like from the molding on a WBH down. I've seen it in a catalog but can't for the life of me find it agin. Had to be Performance Products, Stylin' Concepts, or J.C. Whitney. I think they're the only catalogs I've looked at in some time.

I like it. If only it came in PEWTER! The only thing I've seen so far that I really don't like is that emblem on the tailgate. :D:

naw!! IF I am going to buy something in a truck line without cladding, its going to be a HUMMER H2 SUT!!!     (once I win this weekends lottery)  ;D

yeah, that tailgate emblem is way too f**d-ish to me? :9:

IMO, they should just go all the way and eliminate all of the plastic.  Offer the sails and covers painted.

I mean it's not like the lower cladding was the nighmare with striping anyways  ???

Overall I like the shape. but I also think the consumer should have the option of cladding if they want it, without the bottom cladding the sail panels look out of place not being body colored.

I have a WBH and wish the sail panels were painted from the factory
