Something about this picture (probably the taillights)? made me want to fuss with it in Photoshop a week or so ago..............(apologies to Supurban)

Looking at the '07 pics, I might not have been that far off............. looks like it might indeed be an option checkoff for the CK series in the future:

Just some food for thought.............. and a demo of my lousy Photoshop technique....................... :6:

WOW! That puts things in a new perspective indeed!

I have always thought of Avalanches as open back suburbans  ;D I like the adaptability of hauling things that may not fit inside a suburban though. I also like the look of the vehicle itself. Now I PREFER it cladfree but I like them with cladding too. I just think that if someone really likes Avy's then why say they wont get one just because Chevy MAY not offer cladding. Like I said I am sure it will be available.

Originally when the AV first came out I thought it was Butt Ugly.  But then the first one I saw was a Sage Green NFE.  Over time I have gotten to the point where I prefer the cladded AV's.  Gives them a thicker, tougher look. But still like the WBH, just not as much. And the thing still looks like an AV.

The new pics though, w/o the cladding it just looks like another short bed truck with sail panels. Too generic for my taste. The utility will still be there ( I hope they don't get a wild hair and F#%# that up) but it will still look like all of the other trucks out there.

Leave it to the General, put something out there stands out, then start listening to people that won't buy it anyway and SCREW IT UP!  This story is becoming WAY too familiar.  :E:  :E:  :E:  :E:  (insert "thumbs down" smiley here)

how about the irs rear end and coil over front by by solid rear axel and the torsen bars :E:

I think the '07 will look a lot better when a full production model is seen in person. Can't wait to see what is done with the interior.

The '02 AV came out early '01 and had the changed headlight style before the rest of the truck line. The WBH was added the same front as other GMT800s. Along with the Escalade EXT I guess us cladded fans should thank them because it created enough sales to continue our "midgate suburban truck"  :2:

What do yo mean "greatly resembles"... WBH's have the exact front clip parts as the 03,04,05,06 Silverados.

yes...the WBH's have the same front end as the new Silverados...but the one in the picture there does not look like is has the diamond headlights resembling the older Silverado front ends... but my eyes could be deceiving me

pt1 - the Suburban (US Domestic) has never had the updated front clip (GMT800). Mexican Suburbans are available with the new front end.

pt2 - The photoshop above was never meant to be completely accurate...
