Anyone know of aftermarket wiper blades for the 2007's.  Seems GM is holding me hostage.

Are they special and have funky connections?

I mean measure it and/or remove one and go into auto part store and compare...

Look in your owners manual for the size (length in inches) and go from there. One side might be different from the other.

Been there, done that.  Can't find a blade anywhere that fits the 07.  Had the guy from advanced and autozone come out to the AV in the parking lot and look dumbfounded.  One guy insisted that the RainX blade would fit until he tried it himself. The stock blades are garbage but it looks like my only choice is to replace them for GM blades again.

What size are they?

whats wrong with your blades? seems that they would last.

I'm resurrecting this thread.   My wiper blades are shot, is my only option STILL going to the Chevy dealer?  I have looked around and no one seems to have anything with this funky connection to the arm.

I'm in the same boat as you.  I just bought some Michelins from Target.  They say they fit, but they are wrong.  I might call the 800 # and see what the deal is.  I'll let you know.

UPDATE:  I called the manufacturer of the Michelin wiper blades I purchased at Target.  They are mailing me adapters that are supposed to work with the Avalanche wiper arms.  I'll update once I have received them and give them a try.

OK so I got the adapters.  They snap into the wiper blades.  I put them on the truck and the adapters made the wiper arm stick 3/4" higher than the stock wipers.  Needless to say, it looked dumb and I returned the wipers.

Anybody else get replacement wipers for their 07 Av yet?  I am about ready to revert to GM replacements or AC Delco.

anco makes a blade called contour, oem fit part # c22pb , try here. click on store locator...http://www.federatedautoparts.com/

Mine are degrading at only 6k...also, they are crap at highway speeds IMO. Can't wait 'til the snow starts flyin, and I get to deal with the spray caused by the salt/sand trucks! :7:
At least the washer fluid is heated, so it could be worse

I just got a set of Bosch Icon blades for my wife's Nissan Quest (driver's side is 26" long, they don't make a winter wiper that big).  They are very similar to the OEM ones on the Chevy (no springs, etc...).  Very easy to install on her car.

The parts book didn't have '07 Avalanche in it, but the Bosch website lists part number 443 ICON Front, Set, as the replacement wiper for it.  They are sold at Advance Auto Parts and Autozone, possibly more.  My wipers aren't too bad at 12k miles, they'll get me through the rest of the winter, but maybe one of you guys want to try it out and report back?

What's weird is I looked up '08, and they don't list anything but oil filters...

This is the vehicle parts finder on Bosch's website:

http://www.boschautoparts.com/Resources/VehiclePartFinder/

If no one has a solution by springtime, I'll be trying these out.

I have also tried everywhere for wiper blades also.   I recently bought a set at WalMart, but they don't fit.   My local dealership was not any help either.   Anybody have any luck yet?

Here is a suggestion.

Go to a auto salvage yard and buy arms for a 2006 Silverado pick up truck.

Take your arms off and replace them with the pre 2006 arms.

That will allow you to use the aftermarket blades with no conflicts.

Most yards charge $15 - $30 each.

If you find the right yard, they will trade you the 2006 arms for the 2007 - because they are very expensive and worth more to them than the 2006 and prior years.

Hope I'm not guilty of necro-bumping here.

I was in Target this weekend and they have the Michelin Optimum wiper blades(22").  Inside the package is an adapter that looks like it works for the 2007-08 Avalanches.  The application guide has a footnote that the blade will be released in July  of '07(the guide was printed at the beginning of '07).

On a side note, when I bought my '08 one of the things that sold me was the dealer pays for wiper blades and oil changes for the life of the vehicle.  When I went in for new blades it turned into a real pain in the butt.  The computer at the parts counter has the old wiper blades listed as the replacement for the 07's on up.  When I pointed out that there was no way the old blades would work for the 07-08, he was inflexible. He actually had a service tech walk out with the wrong blades and told him to try to put them on my truck.  Needless to say they didn't work.  I had take the manual in and  show him the right part number.

Anyway, I am not sure if this problem is isolated to my dealer, but make sure you bring in your manual and match the part number IF you go to the dealer for the blades.

Isn't it maddening when you finally find out what "dealer deals and promises" really mean when you need it?  If they were that inept about replacing your wiper blades, I would think twice about their changing your oil.

Yes it is.  I really think the problem was the parts guy.  Not that it is reassuring by any means.  I trust the techs for the most part so if they are handed the wrong part hopefully they will do the right thing.  I stress hopefully.

The tech that walked out to "try" the wrong wiper blade complained about the parts guy the whole way out to the truck.  He even offered to find the right parts for me on Saturday when the parts guy wasn't there.

Yep...been there, done that.  In my business, my clients are always looking for "idiot-proof" solutions.  I tell them there is no such thing as "idiots are so ingenious"..... :idiot:
