2007 xlt highbeam,sun roof, questions

1) Ok so she just started this last night. My high beams refuse to kick into low beam, they also refuse to shut off. So in order to not have my battery die I have to take the high beam fuses out ..
2)  I'm also stumped on my sunroof it also completely stopped working as well last night.. there isn't even motor sound..

any ideas?

My guess on high beams would be a bad switch  in the steering column not sure about sunroof issue, maybe a blown fuse? In older threads when multiple electrical things start to happen it has been due to a bad ground connection, old battery or ignition switch failing if there hasn't been any aftermarket things done like remote start or alarm system etc.
Also there is no xlt AV so you must mean LS, LT or LTZ model Av....
