Ok everyone knows i am out there looking at amps . I was out at the truck for about 30 mins trying to make that system sound better with my piddley 75 watts/ch and sold my self .

"I GOTTA GET A NEW AMP ! " TUESDAY I WILL BE BUYING !

Now i keep hearing this and really wondering if these KICK amps are worth all the hype . also I keep hearing 100 watts of kicker is worth 300 to the other competitors. Here is what i keep seeing .

THE KICKER KX500.2 500 WATT 2 CHANNEL CAR AMPLIFIER IS "BETTER THAN ANY AMP IN ITS CLASS. THIS AMP JUST HAS A CRAZY AMOUNT OF POWER. THIS AMP PUTS OUT A REAL 500 watts KICKER IS KNOWN TO PRODUCE THE HIGHEST QUALITY CAR STEREO AMPLIFIERS. 100 WATTS OF KICKER WATTS ARE EQUIVALENT TO 300 WATTS OF AMPS MADE BY OTHER COMPANIES.

Also I am now confuse with the term stereo and mono . With running 2 speakers do i have to run a 2 channel stereo amp ? And if I run only one channel wont I be missing some of the sounds that come from the other channel that is not plugged in ?

Hello ? Heeeello ? Is anyone there ??? ECHOoooo ECHOooooo Echhoooo ....

Anyways found a boss amp that I might get instead runs 300 watts/ 2ch /4ohms . No fancy lights on it ( nor a fan gonna figure out how to add one of those ) but for $150 it does not seem to bad of a deal unless someone speaks up that is . This is not where I am buying it from but it is the same amp .

i am not an expert in this area by no means. i do have experience with making te wrong purchases, overheated components, etc. i would tell you to get an amp that has a fan for cooling. although the fins on an amp help with heat dissipation a fan does wonders to keep them cool. also make sure that the amp you are purchasing is compatable with the ohm load of your speakers. i am sure you know that already.
i know someone with a Kicker amp btw. it sounds really good with the sub combo nation. not sure what sub he is running off the top of my head.
oh yeah, if you are running the amp to power only subs i would go with mono. stereo if you are running mids and highs. just my opinion.
