Things are a bit crazy for Amy and I right now...

Starting last week one of my coworkers went on vacation for a month.  This represents an important 1/3 loss of the workforce in our respective speciality...

Consequently, I will be working 6 days a week...and averaging 12 hours a day to cover the loss.

Adding to the complexity of this situation...

Amy had shoulder surgery yesterday to repair a torn rotator cuff (Tommy John surgery).  She is doing well considering but there is an obvious increased level of care that I am providing to assist in her recovery and eventual return to work.

Our situation is fine overall...just much busier for the immediate future...

Thanks for understanding...I will check in when I can, but likely it will only be once a week or so...

Cliff

Hope Amy gets better soon. I assume we'll miss you from the SF GTG? A shame.

I can relate to being busy....understand completely. ?Please let Amy know that we are wishing her a speedy recovery on her shoulder, I wouldn't wish that injury on anyone. ?I'm sure you will take the best possible care of her, just don't forget to take care of yourself too. Get well soon, Amy!!! ?

Totally understandable.  We're think positive thoughts for Amy's speedy recovery

Actually, our GTG plans have NOT changed...we will be there...and Sundays are our only mutual day off, so any activities on those days will be on our schedule.

Yea!! I'm glad to hear that...I promise to hug ya lightly, Amy!

wishing her the best.. And hope you catch a break or 2

Wish Amy a speed recovery.  I am sure she  is not having to much fun.  You will have to make up for the down time.

Reason for a road trip?

Dar

How is Amy's recovery coming along? Are you getting any rest?

I spoke with her earlier and she dropped the phone on me   Soooo, I guess she's still healing.

Hope Amy gets to feeling better and things get better for you at work. I can defiinitely relate to being short handed on the job.

Wow, Thanks for all the nice replies...

Amy is doing fine...for a one armed bandit...

No really, she is getting better, but slowly, day by day

The Doc says..."Keep that wing in a sling till I tell you to take it off..."

and she goes to physical therapy 3 times a week, but that is an agonizingly slow process for a torn muscle (apparently)...

So there is still a lot she cannot and/or has been ordered NOT to do...

She is obviously bored away from work (must have bumped her head on that one... >:D ) Yet there is not much she can do anyway...not supposed to drive with one arm (but she ventures out on small trips on occasion)...

About a month from now things should be looking up somewhat

We hope for a speedy recovery Amy.  Just keep downing those sangrias, you'll soon forget your arm hurts

Thanks, Ro and Staci.  I enjoyed the day a lot. Seeing everyone was great. I hope the next 4 weeks ( how long the sling stays) goes by quickly.  :)

Sorry to those of you I have had to put on "ignore"...

The last 2 weeks have been exceptional for me...6 day weeks AND more than 12 hour days...coupled with Amy's recovery and the other "normal" things folks do with non work hours...I am pretty worn down...

So if you sent me an email and/or a PM...I didn't get back to you until today in one case, and the rest will get answered tomorrow I hope...

The good news for me is today is my last 6th day week... :woot:
Got Sunday and Monday off...

I sent you a PM Ed...and sorry again for the delay
Nice Tires and Rims Mark...I saw the thread, no time to reply...
Got the voice mail Ro...contacted Ed by PM...got to get ready for work...again

Again my apologies to those who are/were offended

Thanks
