alarm interface for '04s

Well, I was going to buy a vsl4200 alarm off ebay, as I liked the easy plug & play install, but was told by the seller it would only work on AVs thru '02, due to a change in the stock wiring plugs the alarm hooks up to. Does anyone know if GM makes an updated equivalent alarm that will plug right in to the '04s?
also - for other alarm systems out there, such as Viper and Clifford, what type of modules do I need to properly interface. I do not have onstar, only the base radio, and do not want remote start.

i would much rather choose the clifford i have two of them one on my 98 mazda(6 yrs since install) no problems and one on my 04 avalanche, inteligaurd 8000 w/remote start, you should only need the data bus interface for your door locks since you dont want remote start go to www.peripheralelectronics.com....good luck
