Ambers on Z71???? HELP!!!

Ok for the second time i have decided to tackle the ambers on my 07 AVY.

This is the problem i have run into.. 
1. The instructions posted here http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?topic=50150.new#new  doesnt match what i see on my z71.
picture one shows my fender well on the driverside.. 

I dont see the bracket..  With the fender flares it seems things are different.

i did take out the bolts and try and pull it out.. it felt loose but i couldnt get it out.. 
I managed to pop(break) the top pin but the bottom one wouldnt come out..

any help would be greatly appreciated...

Looks like you're almost there.  Up in the left there should be another screw holding the light.  (Sorry for the light circle - work computer doesn't have all my photo editing programs)  Unscrew it (don't even have to take it out as it is just a "C" hook) and you should be able to CAREFULLY remove the front headlight.  I didn't end up removing the entire light - just pulled it back far enough to get my hand in there to replace the DRLs.  They're the ones on the inboard/bottom side of the light assy.  (Outboard bottom is the parking light)

Thanks.. ill give that a shot....  is it the same on the passanger side??

I still cant believe they made it so hard to change a bulb..  Its not like there LED's ..  there going to fail eventually...

Yep same on both sides.
