Okay after much proding from Imaniguana
, I am looking to see how much interest there is in a GTG at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover AFB, Delaware.
After a wet spring and summer, the Museum finally has it's own gate. That means that the museum can be accessed from St. Rt. 9 without having to have an escort.
There is parking available and a small canteen in the museum itself.
The fire department has a station next to the museum and our training area is located next to the access road for the museum.
If there is enough interest, I may be able to set a demonstration of our ARFF (aircraft rescue firefighting) trucks. We have an aircraft mockup and a burn building that we can set on fire.
Information about the museum can be found at www.amcmuseum.org. Info about Dover AFB can be found at www.dover.af.mil.
If there is enough interest, any suggestions on a date? I work every other day, but considering I work there anyway, any day is okay with me!!
