My LT. is attempting to get me into a Forensics Seminar and Glock Armorer's workshop in Lawrenceburg, TN June 4-7, 2007. The government per diem rate for hotels in that area is 99.00 per night, so I have to stay in that range. Are there any decent places to stay in that area? All I found IN Lawrenceburg was a Best Western, but there are no rooms available for those dates. Any info anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

The Best Western is the nicest one there.  The rest are mom and pop dumps, sorry to say.  You might be best staying in Columbia, which is a bit of a drive, but not too far from me.

Here is a link to a list I found on the Chamber of Commerce website:? LINK.
I know nothing about any of them.? You might also try the Crockett State Park, if memory serves, they're nearby and have a lodge or something.? I'll see if I can find a link. no lodge there.

Thanks guys, I figured yall would have an idea or 2. I'll do a search on Columbia and check out that link and see what I can come up with. Anyone else has any ideas, feel free to jump in, I'm open to suggestions. My Sgt. told me to look for someplace to stay up there cause they're going to try and walk this school through the chain of command tomorrow AM. If we have any money in our training budget, maybe I'll get to go....and it sounds like a great opportunity for a g2g, too.

Nope, Byron is the poolboy...........
Hahaha. First off you dont have a pool yet. Second, I though his pole wasnt long enough to clean the bottom of the pool.

We have a kiddie pool, so B has not problem reachin' the bottom.  I have a feeling that if I don't have a real pool next year, I will become someone's houseboy as I won't have one............ :E:

That kiddie pool comment was wrong. :beating: I think you just called Byron a child molester.

Hun, You might also try a chedck for Pulaski, Tn. It's a little closer to Lawrenceburg than Columbia, but it's also smaller. You have a better shot in Columbia, but Pulaski is a consideration.

Yall are just too damn funny

Ok..thanks, Tntrubble, I actually did a search on Pulaski hotels but came up with similar results as Lawrenceburg. Now Columbia has a Hampton Inn with dates available for when I'm staying. Can't go wrong with Hampton Inn. I'll see if I'm even going to get to go, then work on it from there. Thanks everybody!

don't know if you already found something but I heard there is a nice Marriott in Florence which is about a 30 minute drive as well that is VERY nice!

I'm still trying to figure out how I get involved in so many threads while I'm sleeping.

Your spirit lives on, even in sleep, my friend.

Thanks, Brian, I'll check out the Mariott in Florence. I can't believe they're having this thing in some little town with only one decent hotel. Doesn't make it easy for out of towners that's for sure.

To be continued I suppose.
