are the 02's not supposed to have battery 'management'??

Truck was vandilized last night. Smashed both passenger side windows.
Guys show up to replace windows around 1pm, after they do their thing for a while, the truck won't start!! Will turn over 1 / 1.5 times and then nothing but clicks.

I thought from reading the manual that the truck is supposed to have the smarts to keep this from happening. All that would have been on was the dome lights if I had left the door ajar this morning

Man, sorry to hear about your truck that so sucks! Hate people that can't just work to buy their own crap without takng it from others taht have

I have an '02 and I know mine works at least when I leave the cargo light on. But when I have something plugged in the ciggarette lighter it stays on.

Mine shuts stuff off after 20 minutes. Maybe the alarm system isn't governed by the battery saver?

That realy sucks!

I was tinkering with the running lights for my Bed Cap for a few hours one warm day and went I went the start the battery was already dead. The stock battery for a truck this size is highly underpowered.

Next spring I'm gonna get a big 900 AMP battery for her.

Here is the scoop that I got
Broken window sets off passive alarm which is supposed to keep the truck from being started without correct key. So that thing draws power. I believe I had the dome on as well.
Truck was like that for about 7 hours.
Quick jump start and I was back in business

Now I just have to get the rear door panel adjusted (did not notice before they left) and at some point get the window vent shades installed again. after I peel the rest of the tape off

I have left my doors open and my over head console lights on but it was fine in the morning.
