I have been looking everywhere and I can't find anything but polished aluminum grills for the horizpntal bar billet grills. I want the chrome finish, but haven't seen one. I thought about just having the grill chrome dipped, but it seemed like this is something that should already be available. Can anyone give me some direction on where to go? :E:

Search for PATCO....I think that is their name or is it PUTCO.....

They make some which are punched out of sheetmetal and are shiney...

I think most will be aluminum or stainless steel...you can always buy one and have it chromed if you find one you like but it's in polished or brushed aluminum.

I have a polished aluminum billet grille on my AV and it's just as shiny and purdy as my chrome 20s (when my AV is clean that is >:D ) ;D

I have one, and I LOVE how it looks. It was $175 shipped to me, and only took about 45minutes to install. Here is a pic:

Twilz...is that the Street Scene Speed grill? It comes in satin, stainless and chrome. Sport Truck Direct has the Chrome for 139 + ship, stainless for 149+ship. If that is a SS Speed...what do you think of the construction quality, thickness? About ready to order one. Thanks.

On closer inspection of the pics...its obvious its not the SS speed grill. It's very cool though.

tlwiz,

who makes that grille?
how much etc....

Do you have clearance to open the hood safety latch?

Is it flat or contoured...

Very nice! (y) (y)

Sorry it took so long to reply...

It is an E&G Classic grille, and it is thick (but not like the billet grilles, since it is a flat piece), and it contours the factory grille perfectly. There is no problem with opening the latch, as it is only about 1/16" thick and sits flush.

I love how it looks. The price was a bit high, but the $175 was a great price considering that the company wants like $250 for it (I got it from a distributor).

If you want one, contact Chris at www.aidirestyling.com His email is aidimich@aol.com
He was awesome to deal with, and the product is great.

There is a pic of his truck on the site too.

Any questions, or how to easy/quick install, let me know!

TLwiz,

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

That is a nice grille. Hope you don't mind there being a DMG AVi with the same grill ;D

I will have to check on this one. Thanks for the help!

Look up T-Rex on the web and they have several options which may be of interest if your inquiry is not restricted to chroming the existing plastic OEM grill. (y)
