So let me see if I can get this all in here and I apologize for the story.

Our 07 LTZ 5.3L avalanche is about ready to find its way to the scrap yard cuz well I'm over trying to figure out this problem.

Last week, (while driving it) the ABS, traction control, brake light and stabilitrak error all light up the cluster. We got to our destination, shut it off, left 2 hrs later, truck started fine, reversed out the driveway, drove another 20 minutes, cluster still lit up. About 10 minutes into the drive we realized all the lights were on, but none of the gauges were working and the gear panel was still registering we were in Reverse.

Get to where we need to be. Check to find the reverse lights were infact still on. Shut the truck off (don't know what we were hoping for as we knew it wouldn't start in reverse ) reverse lights stayed on, Turning the key, gave power to absolutely everything, but the truck wouldn't start.

Hubby called his mechanic friend (he's a bit of a back yard mechanic himself) the friend told him a bunch of fuses to check, after playing with the fuses, the reverse lights turned off and the truck would register P & N with a slight delay but still wouldn't turn on, after replacing a fuse, we are back to it not registering.

So we took to the internet and found this gem, we went threw forms upon forms trying things.
We have ;
-Replaced the PCM
-Took a test light to the fuses and the fuse box itself
-Replaced the neutral safety switch
-Checked all ground wires
-Tried using the feed line things (idk what they are called) with another battery to basically bypass the trucks battery connectors
-Hubby can cross the starter to get a reaction and get a reaction from the relay but it still won't start.
- Tried holding the key in run and crossed the relay

2 mechanic friends are totally stumped, one says he could hear it slowly trying to start over, (but he's the only one to hear that ) and we are annoyed, of course over the period of doing this the battery has died countless times and though boosting it, we are going to swap it out with a newer battery in hopes that it just can't reset the moduels but like all our other hopes, I feel it's wishful thinking.

Any suggestions or ideas are greatly welcomed !

I should add the check engine light is on, but it has been on for ages as it's registering an evap leak somewhere, and when connecting a code reader to the truck, it isn't throwing any codes. Not even for the known evap leak.

I'd also like to say that if anyone is in the Bruce County area of Ontario we will gladly provide whiskey, beer, cold pop, coffee :ROFLMAO:

Welcome OverThis, sorry for the trouble and you came to the right place for answers.
My shot in the dark: Do you possibly have keyless entry or start system? Could be faulty or the receiver disconnected giving you some trouble. This happened to my s10 Blazer.

Thank you and I hope this is the place we find answers, Im not a car gal but this issue and this site, I feel i can basically troubleshoot most avalanche problems now 🤣🤣

There is a remote start, no keyless entry.

Going to disconnect the remote start and see what happens

So upon trying to find the remote start, we are assuming as all signs have lead to needing to pull apart the steering column (please someone correct me if I'm wrong).

But hubby wanted to recheck the purple wire running from the ignition to the starter before ripping it apart so he put the test light to it, key in run position and there's nothing.

My Blazer had keyless entry, the remote sensor plugged in under the dash. It had simply fell on the floor. I found it after 3 weeks troubleshooting everything. Plugged it back in and the truck started fine.
Hang in there. somebody with an '07 will probably know.

DId you buy new or used?
Any electrical mods?
Have you checked every ground wire?
Battery been tested?
Battery cables checked?

I would also pull the PCM plug and check for corrosion on the terminals, I had a similar problem with my 2010 LTZ and when I pulled the plugs on the module a few of the connections were green with corrosion, I used an electrical spray cleaner to clean them up and as soon as I plugged it back in it fired right up, it even ran better than it ever had since I bought it. I would check all the modules and make sure none of them are corroded. Good Luck 👍
