Auto Dim Mirrors ???

Hey everyone I just got my 04 Avalanche z71. I got every option there was, I figured whats a few thousand more Heres the problem/question I have the auto dimming feature. My rear view mirror does it the drivers side mirror does it, but the passangers does not. I looked in the owners manual and it does not say if they both should or not. I would think and hope they both should. It would be just stupid for only one to dim and leave the other to blind you. Let me know whats going on please so if i need a new mirror i can have my dealer order it. Thanks -Rob

Your right only the inside mirror and driver outside mirror dim. I havn't had any problem yet from lights in the passenger side mirror. Nobody is far enough over to shine much in that mirror.

In my experience, the auto dimming is only available to the rear view and driver's mirror. That's what my 03 Z71 has. That's what my Lincoln had as well.

As slick said, it would be seldom anyone down the passenger side would cause a glare across to the driver off of the passenger mirror (possible I suppose, but again, it's never happened to me that I've noticed).

I notice it i work 16+ hour days and getting out at 1130pm you notice all lights. I just thought it was kinda odd only 2 of the 3 do it. Must have been one of chevys better ideas.

My 04' just does the rear view and the driver's side view....I really didn't notice the passenger side mirror...I'll have to chack it out tonight, but I think like mentioned earlier...you rarely get blinded by the passenger side mirrors unless the guy behind you is way over the line...

Passenger outside mirror does not have auto-dim....

The driver's outside mirror will adjust for the glare of headlamps behind you

Why would you need it on the passenger side? everything is smaller in that mirror.
