I bougt an 03 av in canada and the light switch stay on auto all time.I cant get it to off .Is it any way to fix that

Sounds like your driving lights. To turn your daytime driving lights off or your headlights off with the Av running, push the dome light button about 4 times.

Sounds like the American 2002 Setup.
Like Dmacker said, just push the Dome overide button a couple of times. You do have the Dome Overide button right ?
If not, then the laws in your country demand a fully automatic Lighting setup.

Canada requires DRL's be on and not be disabled.
From the Online 2003 Owners Manual "Fully functional
daytime running lamps are required on all vehicles
first sold in Canada."
The downside is. If you're parked at night idling, your headlights will be on. I think the dome override switch will shut them off, but if not you should be able to swap the switch with one for the U.S. model.
