Anybody have any suggestions for a theme song for the Av? While "Like a Rock" is a good song, it seems to me the the Av is unique enough to warrant its own theme song. The two songs that come to my mind are:

1. "Changes" by David Bowie (ch..ch..ch..changes)
2. "Changes" by Black Sabbath (off the Volume 4 album with vocals by Ozzie >:D Osbourne)

Backroads - Ricky Van Shelton
Bad To The Bone - George Thorogood & The Destroyers
Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
Cruisin' - Ted Nugent
Easy Livin' - Uriah Heep
Iron Man - Black Sabbath
I Can't Drive 55 - Sammy Haggar
Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Free For All - Ted Nugent
Low Rider - War
Obsession - Animotion
Radar Love - Golden Earring
Riding' The Storm Out - REO Speedwagon
Rockin' Down The Highway - Doobie Brothers
Slow Ride - Foghat
T.N.T. - AC/DC
We're An American Band - Grand Funk Railroad
Workin' Hard, Playin' Hard - Ted Nugent

... got on a roll there. I guess that's what happens when you try to set only one song to such a versitile vehicle ;D

Yo, that would make a nice CD for traveling, course I would ad a little James Gang, Jefferson Airplane or Head East and a couple of cuts from the Rolling Stones.
;D

"the wheel on the bus goes round and round" >:D

1) NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND - Avalanche (y)
2) SHINEHEAD - Start An Avalanche ;)
3) AVALANCHES - Since I Left You CD ;D
4) GOLDEN EARING - SWITCH
5) AC/DC - flick of the SWITCH
6) KINGS - SWITCHing To Glide

I thought of a couple more.

1. "Going Mobile" by the Who
2. "Truckin'" by the Greatful Dead

You all have very good suggestions, but my favorite so far is Wild Thing (thanks, dandan). Can't you just see the new commercial for the Av? Fade in, as an Av is shown off-roading. Announcer: There's never been a vehicle like the Avalanche before. Cue music: Wild thing, you make my heart sing. You are my everything. Wild thing, I think I love you. Maybe we should contact the Chevy marketing people. :0:

I like the Hair of the Dog/Nazarath suggestion. Isn't that the one that goes "now your messin with a son ova b*tch"..Make a good commercial soundtrack. Are you allowed to say b*tch on TV now?

? Well, pdxkevin said it best IMHO. ?

For rock that is, so here's a couple for country.

? Steve Earl--Guitar Town
Ozark Mountain Daredevils--If you want to get to heaven

?Rockin In the Free World!!!? -Neil Young-
no question about it!!!!

Its either that or the Imperial March from STAR WARS!!!

A big truck deserves 17 minutes of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly

Highway Star- Deep Purple
Boom Boom- John Lee Hooker
Run Like Hell- Pink Floyd

bad to the bone was the first song I played in Spork. I will forever think of it whenever I think of the truck.

Don't know where I got these from - they are all over the map:

Back in Black- AC/DC (well, I do have a black Av)

The Boys Are Back in Town - Thin Lizzy

Take it Easy - Eagles

Movin Out - Billy Joel

Big Shot - Billy Joel

Runnin with the Devil - Van Halen

Running on Empty - Jackson Brown (even with 31 gallons)

I Hate Myself for Loving You - Joan Jett

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

BLKJACK,

No, you're probably not allowed to say Son of a b**ch although I've heard just plain b**ch before. It's still a good thought.

How about "Thunderstruck" - AC/DC?
