Well, folks... Me (Stan), my wife (Jacqui), my old Dad, and my photographer mate (Ronnie) just spent today driving like mad around Scotland.

Just to prove that Scotland has landmarks...check out this link and click on "Pictures".

http:/groups.msn.com/AvalancheCoversScotland

Just for the record, the row of six bottles on the back of the truck are:

Balvenie Doublewood (Speyside single malt matured in two differnt types of casks)
Highland Park (the only single malt from Orkney, where the Ring of Brodgar is!)
Aberlour (Speyside single malt)
Glenkinchie (The only lowland single malt from Edinburgh)
Johnnie Walker Black Label (nasty blended stuff we sell to places like USA )
Bowmore (the star of this little show..a 21 year old Islay malt and my favourite)

Thanks to Ronnie for the photos and for putting the web site together all in the same day.

>:D

Hey Stan, great photos and good to see you putting some miles on the av, but geez mate it's only a little place, what are you going to do after next weekend? ;)

Great sights!! Just out of curiousity, how far are you from Glenshee? My clan's gathering place is 'Claich na Choilich' The Cockstane in Glenshee. Ever heard of it? Maybe someday I'll get there...

I can't get the web address to come up as a working link...must be me bein'stoopid.

If you copy the address and paste it in the address bar of your browser then hit Go, it should work.

When you get to the site, click on the "Photographs" caption.

As to Scotland bein' just little....I suppose it is, but I can spend next weekend doin the southern bit, including Hadrian's Wall!

See if this link works for you all.

Stan's photos

LOL, looks like Sir Irontrain and I were working on the linky thingo at the same time. I'll just say add that I look forward to seeing some of the new photos Stan. Take some of those little 3 wheelers beside your bohemoth, I'd think some of these Yanks would get a kick out of them.

Looks like there is folks cleverer than me at this linky thingy :2:

Rescue 1, we went right past Glenshee on our way up to Loch Ness. It's maybe 100 miles north of Edinburgh an' dang cold and damp at this time of year.

Very nice!!!

I think those folks at Blair Atholl may have mistaken the big Pewter Avalanche for the Loch Ness Monster, that's probably why they were shooting at you. Perhaps you should have selected a Red Av like mine.

Keep those pictures comming and the single malt flowing!!!

Thanks for the pic's - looks like you are enjoying your - we might need to set up a donation page for your fuel bill - $110 US to fill OUCH!!

Nah...you got it all wrong Blueruck!

To fill it would have cost abut $160 from empty, but the pump cut off at 100 liters (I guess for safety reasons since no European car has a tank bigger than that!)

Nice pictures man! ;D I can't wait to see more...

Excellent pictures along with the commentary. Out of curiosity, about how much extra (ballpark figure is fine) did it set you back to import an Av?

You must get stares EVERYWHERE as most of us still do here!

Back in 91, I was in England in the Alconbury's while in the USAF. I rode around in a buddy's 72 Mustang. Yes, he got looks!

Jamie

Thanks for sharing the pictures. My guess is that you'll experience the uniqueness of the Av longer than most of us - not too many folks on your side of the pond will ante up for the fuel bill to enjoy the priviledge - too bad for them - great for you! ENJOY!

Specially for SKidd...The Little and Large Show!!!
