Avalanche Is It Worth The Money?

I have a avalanche 1500 4x4 on order located in Michigan dealers said it will be built this week but does not have fine for a few more days??? Is this true??

How long does it take to ship from Mexico to Michigan?? Dealer says 3 weeks on that?

What do you guys know?

I am new to this board thanks in advance...

Ordered mine March 18, arrived at dealership April 14, so 3-4 weeks is about right. I'm in Nebraska. If you have never had an Av, you will love it. Hope yours arrives soon.
 
Wow! Seems incredible that you were unable to find an AV to fit your specs in the metro Detroit area. It will be worth the wait though.

I ordered my 2003 Z-71 right before X-mas 2002 and got delivery on March 28, 2003. Yup, believe it or not, it took longer than the 8-10 weeks I was quoted by my dealer. Didn't really mind as I got to miss the slop of winter on the roads.

hope mine comes in soon.. I find some but wrong color or missing options.. I want everything..

Does that sound right on the vin through? truck will be built first then vin issued to dealer. ???

Replacing my beloved 94 Sierra K1500 - just couldn't resist the Avalanche, the 0% financing, and the great deal. Can't wipe the stupid grin off my face ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I got my vin a week before I got the Av. I may be the case. I ordered mine for the same reasons, a lot to choose from but none had the options I wanted. They all seemed to have running boards and sunroofs, no personal security packages etc. It is worth the wait and if you're gonna buy a truck worth this much, get it the way you want, otherwise you'll have regrets.

I got a vin number today except on thing how can I track its whereabouts dealer said it should be in week of may5th.. I don't know if I will stop thinking of it till then..

Is there a web site or number like Fords you can call and track?

Order went in for my av on April 14th, it's been 3 weeks today, and still
haven't heard from my dealer yet. I'm hoping he will call sometime this
week with some info. about my truck. It's too bad that GM doesn't offer
a way to track your vehicle. I would like to know what's happening and how far they've gotten on it. I don't have a vin # yet. either. Maybe, when I get that, I know it will be arriving soon, I hope!! :rolleyes:
 
I have my vin.. But can't get an answer. I believe his name was REDDog and he said he would track but I have not heard a word yet..

I finally called my dealer today, the reason I haven't heard anything from my salesman was he's out on disability. Talked to sales mgr. and
my truck is built and have a vin #also. He just doesn't know where it is from here. Could still be in Mexico, he doesn't know if it's on the car carrier yet. Might be next week before it gets here. So, 3 weeks sounds
about right. Sales Mgr. told me production is slow in Mexico and they are getting ready to start production of '04 models. So, by next week I could be riding in style!! I'll keep you all posted!! ;)
 
He can track it at the dealers end he would know what day its gonna come in. Mine is saying week of May 5th.
