Hi everybody,
My question here, Is the Avalanche mechanically the same as the Chevy Silverado/ Suburban/ Tahoe and GMC Sierra/ Yukon for the ones have V8 5.3L engines. In other way, Does the engine, transmission and other mechanical parts are interchangeable?
As far as I know, that they all have the same GM codes for 5.3L engine and transmission as follows:
Engine: Vortec 5300 V8 SFI GAS ENGINE
8-cylinder engine with 5.3-liter displacement, sequential fuel injection.
(285 HP @ 5200 rpm, 325 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm)
Code: LM7
Transmission: Electronic 4-Speed Automatic w/Overdrive.
Includes tow/haul mode.
Code: M30
Please reply if you have some mechanical knowledge.
