I am going to be in a friend's wedding in another city. It will be half way across the US. It should be fun except....

I have to leave the AV behind. I didn't think it was an issue until I tried to rent one in the wedding city. No luck. You can rent covertables so why not the AV? It's a true convertable. You can rent a viper and a porche, but not an AV. Heck, you can even rent a ferrari (in certain cities) but alas, no AVs.

How can I show my face driving around in a mere car? Especailly since they don't say rental all over them any more. But it goes beyond dignity. The shear pleasure of driving an AV can not be replaced by a car.

Sorry, I just needed to vent my frustration.

How can we convince rental agencies to carry AVs?

A Porsche a mere car?

Dude you got issues! ;D

The only downside... if rental companies carried AV's think how bad they'd get abused. Would you want some scumbag paying $45 and getting to drive around town in an AV getting all of the attention you worked so hard for?

You can always have yours shipped by train to wherever you're going. :)

carrerarod,

Don't come unglued.
He said you could rent a porche (some kind of foreign car) NOT YOUR BELOVED PORSCHE.

Besides I thought you dumped that for a new vet.

I really enjoy your audio posts, but I'm still confused about onstar compatible. The onstar guy told me that any after market kills the onstar. I would really like to keep it for the emergency service.

How 'bout proof of ownership prior to rental?
