I'm looking at putting this Nav HU in.  With it, I'm putting in Kicker Components (all doors) powered by RF 4ch amp.  I'll also be replacing the Bose sub with a stealth JL Audio Center Console, powered by a RF 501db.  The installers are telling me that the OnStar would be difficult to keep in because it needs the factory speakers and won't go through the after market ones....not that this matters, I don't use OnStar anyways.  I'll be putting in the steering wheel control module, bluetooth, and the iPod adaptor.  Does this set up sound good, or should I be considering other things?  I'm anticipating that it will be sounding better than the factory Bose setup.

Not sure on the 07's? ??? sorry I couldnt be of anymore help.? I've done some installs on fullsize 99-02, with them you could just get away with using the cheaper harness, and bypass the onstar altogether.? 03-06 I've only installed mine, and I dont have onstar, or bose.? So the install was really simple.

I'm sure if you contact Jason at JP he would have an answer for you.

I used the OS3Bose install with my Alpine W205 and that's the one to go with.  The Onstart won't be a problem. What I would consider having them do is to hook in the OS3Bose as per the instructions but do NOT connect the RCA outputs or the speaker level outputs of the D3 to the OS3Bose.  Basically what that module will give you is the switched power you need (there's a relay installed as part of the OS3, that clicking you will hear is normal!!) for the head, the Onstar interface and the chimes.  Assuming they will not be using the factory tweeter A pillar locations (good lord what awful imaging from that position!!!) they should leave the factory Bose amp and you will still get Onstar via the factory tweets.  While not ideal, it should be functional on the odd chance you want to use it.

I recommend having them install the CM-X chime portion that comes with the OS3 somewhere around the radio or off to the driver's side in the dash.  I tossed it into my glove box to begin with and while I can hear the chimes the turn signal indicators are very faint.

So this OS3 Module will allow me to have a functional OnStar, chimes, signal sounds.....while still having the D3 running to an amp to power components to each door and by replacing the stock center console Bose amp/sub setup with a JL Audio Stealthbox?  I'm also getting the Bluetooth Module, Steering Wheel Control Module, and the iPod Module.  What happens to the audio jacks in the back of the center compartment?  Thanks for all of your help.

Yep, the OS3 will give you all of that.  Per the PAC audio site:

? Provides +12v databus generated switched accessory output with R.A.P. No more searching for switched +12v in fuse box or kick panel.
? Steering wheel radio control wire output; can be used with SWI - X, ALP, ECL or PS to control most new radios. No need to go to steering wheel column to find wires.
? New radio will operate with the vehicle R.A.P. (Retained Accessory Power) system. The radio stays on after the key is turned off and stays on for approximately 10 minutes or until the drivers door is opened.
? Retains Warning chimes and turn signal clicks.
? Retains Vehicle Parking Assist indicator and chimes.
? Retains Rear Seat Audio headphone jacks. Dual Zone can be retained using Dual Zone radios.
? Includes new style GM antenna adaptor.

As I read through the install instructions, since you're not going to be using the Bose you can just use the OS-3 instead of the OS-3Bose.

Scroll down the page a bit to see the OS3's. Install instruction links are there as well.

I will still need the universal steering wheel control module though, right?  If your unfamiliar with this, it allows FULL use of the stock steering wheel controls for an aftermarket radio.  I know kind of self-explainitory, but wanted to be clear.  I appreciate all of your help!

No prob on the help.

The steering will controls are a separate module. You will need the PAC SWI-PS for the AVIC.

The advantage of using the 2 PAC modules is that it simplifies the install as well. For my Alpine setup instead of having to wire into the car I was just able to hook into the control wire on the OS3 for the steering wheel module, plug it into the radio, done.
