Av's are everywhere, including white WBH

I just moved to a new building, I'll be working here part time, and home the rest of the time. There is another black Avalanche here. Don't know who it is yet, and unless the decals were removed it is a base 2wd.

On my way home I was behind another Av on the highway, and together we passed another. As I drove through my neighborhood I saw 2 more.

Today on my way to the gas station, I passed a SOM Z71. I really like SOM. On the highway I was behind a white WBH. Not bad looking, but the cladding on the tailgate is so out of place.

Lots of Avs around lately. The kicker is that most, if not all, were from the same dealer--Weber. I know that's where SETEMFLUSH bought his as well.

Ok, uneventful story. That's all. :)

I see at least one Av on every trip I take around town or commute to work. And I see a lot of them in parking lots.

Still though, there is not a single Av in my development!

There are lots around my area as well!

i think i saw about 5 AV's yesterday. the best looknig one was a two-tone WBH. they are getting pretty popular. just wish i could spot some amber DRL's out there.

For sure! Seeing them all over - it's like a disease! :D

It used to be that I'd only see one other Avy on my side of town. Now I see quite a few.

Finally saw a LPM WBH (have actually passed it in the opposite direction on I-25 a couple of times now in the last week).

I don't see many Ambers, either. But that two-tone must be aftermarket as none of the brochures that I have on the '02-'04s have that as an option. What was the color combo?

Whoa, really? LOTS of WBHs here in SoCal in LPM and Silver Birch (SBM? ;D)

BTW, finally got a dark blue WBH in here at the dealership... love the color![/glow][/color]

Trippy...I have seen plenty of dark colored WBHs here, just not many light colored ones. (I haven't seen an SO2M nor a Sport Red (SR) yet, not even at a dealership.)

I'd have to say I'd prefer the body side molding and fender flares on a WBH.

I've been thinking on whether I should get a WBH or not when I win the Trucks and Bucks drawing for an '03 Avy. :D (Trucks and Bucks is lottery scratch ticket here in CO. You can send in losing tickets for a chance in the end-of-game drawing for an '03 Avy. They've given away before:
http://www.coloradolottery.com/games/scratch/drawingPrizeWinners.cfm -look about half way down the page).

You're probably not partial to light colored WBH's are ya, SnowTrojan? >:D

I think The General added WBH as an option because too many people said "Heck, I'd buy one if they didn't have all that plastic on 'em." I tend to think it's a love-or-hate relationship with cladding.

I also think The General will be hurting Avy sales by introducing the Colorado. There was no other 1/2 ton crew cab truck available from GM besides the Avy...

I wish I could say I see more AVs in my area... :(

Seems when I do see one, the driver won't even look my way....and no Amber DRLs yet, either..... :(

Another thing, all of the AVs I am seeing are either cladded with stock wheels or bare WBH (nothing on the sides at all) with bright chrome 20's or 22's.

Would be nice to have a true fellow AVer wave back....I won't stop yet...but it's getting old having them look away... :6:

I saw five on my way to work today. Two were on the same lot that I drive across to get to my lot. All cladded. When I got mine in May, I rarely saw an Av. Now it's almost every day! I think the sales numbers on these are really picking up in St. Louis.

I saw 2 more at work. A white w/cladding with temp tags--so it may have been a 2004, and a green WBH.

I guess getting GMS discount helps!

Excluding my neighbor's DGM WBH, I probably see an AV or an EXT every time I leave the house (3 or 4 times a day). But I'm never able to tag because their always moving! (y)

Lots of wbhs lately... seems like the cladded ones are the folks who wave though.

Saw my first sport red today ;D  ;D very handsome... wbh though :6:

I think it will be sweeeeeeeeeeet with the dark charcoal cladding.

CARR Chev has an SSR on site now... I hope to see it Sat.

Ya have to chase them down Chad. ;D

We need a projectile way of tagging. >:D

:0:
1) A crossbow with logo on arrow feathers.
2) A loudspeaker or bullhorn.
3) A long stick to stick out the window with card attached to end.
4) In-car email system with license plate email address.
5) Remote controlled helicopter in cargo area with logo on side.
6) ....room for your ideas here..............

How about a some adhesive on the back of the tags so if I throw them
out the window the will hit and stick to windshield. On second thought
no that might cause an accident. But yes must find a way to do mid flight
tagging (Like mid flight refueling...)

Verbally tagged a black wbh owner yesterday then realized I already
tagged them the day before when I stuck on their windshield. :2:

Yesterday saw a sage green one and took off after it. It was too fast
though (sigh). Normal people must think we are strange with our
tagging methods. :)

I see alot in traffic but I don't want to do a Uzbekistan fire drill
at the red light and run out and tag them.

No Amber DRLs around here!!!! It frustrates me no end!!

:) Aetatis

It will help alot if we can just get some club decals with the URL on them. This is something that really needs to happen. We may still have to chase them down, but we won't have to throw anything at them. >:D

Edited for spelling

What's wrong with WBH? (Except that they are nekkid... :2: ) I see one in your sig!

I still have yet to see a Sport Red, on the road or lot.

Just saw a Medium Sage Green Metallic yesterday (around exit 152 on I-25 in CO). I think that is only the second one I have seen.

CARR Chevrolet on TV Hwy in Beaverton? I bought my Silverado from there in '98 (I traded that in on my Avy). I did not have a good buying experience there. But I had really, really good (y) experience with their Service Department. Even with the '89 Camaro I had - they replaced some broken exhaust manifold bolts in '92 as "goodwill." Well, it worked. I kept coming back. The only not-so-good expereince I had was when my Silverado was new, I took it in to have the bedliner installed and when I got it back, there was a spot on the tailgate that looked like someone hit it with an orbital sander :7: which stood out real well against the black. I was able to buff the scratches out myself, but that miffed me.

Keep on, keepin' on...

-Joe

Got stuck in a traffic jam on I-95 in central Connecticut on Sunday afternoon, caused by a boat coming loose from its trailer and sailing through the Expedition pulling it. The boat skidded several hundred feet along the highway, like a scene out of a James Bond movie.

While waiting in traffic, I saw 3 other Avs. We were definitely the nicest looking vehicles in traffic! ;)

Finally saw a Sport Red Avy, WBH, on I-25 at the south end of Denver on Turkey Day! Looked nice. Had door moldings and I think it had the fender flares, as well.

Then, as we're driving thru Aurora, I glance over at Len Lyall (sp?) Chevy and there are 5 LPM and/or SBM's (sorry, it was a quick glance and those colors are so close) all in a row on the NW corner of their lot. How about some selection for crying out loud?

"Hey, we've got any color ya like, as long as it is Silver Birch Metallic." ;D

Cheers,

-Joe
