is it just me or are their a lot more avs on the road????
i walk at lunch time and decided to walk down a different
street that i normally walk well on this street i seen 3 avs
in driveways ...and as i was walking up the main street
and waiting for the light to change so i could cross another
4 avs passed by me in a span of about 2 minutes...havent
got one yet but by the time i do get one everone will have one
and it wont be such a special truck anymore.....that stinks :cautious:

When that happens, you have to make yours look unique.....kinda like mine with all the checkered print on it....now when people see it they KNOW who is inside ;D

Now when I see more AVs I just want to hand them brochures so they'll join.........I got love for all AV owners!

I aggree I have seen a ton more since I bought mine. Not sure what it is if I was blind before I got mine or what. Although have seen very few with the club insignia(amber DRLs) We will need to recruit these people as well. Would make for a great national event. ;D

Keep checking for the union label when you are able... sorry that snippette came to mind. When you see the other AVs do you hech for the CAFCNA sticker?

I am glad to see other AVs out on the road and try to tag each one I can with a club brochure.

Well with 133K sold, and I'd guesstimate around 4K of them now out of service (say 3% wrecked, stolen, burned) and the fact they are unique in their looks - ya you'll be seeing a lot of them. One Saturday my boy and I saw five in the span of close to five miles.

I don't look for CAFCNA stickers - but I sure do look for amber DRL's!

I bought my Ave in Oct of 2001. They had just hit the showroom floor at my local dealership about 2 months prior. WHen I took it home I could not beleive the looks I would get from people. They would just stare in amazement. I was equally amazed to learn that I was one of the very few Ave owners on Long Island. Now, you can find them every where. I am really not too happy about that. I liked being unigue and different. Now my truck is perceived as ordinary to most people. Well, since I'm not getting rid of the truck I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it.

Yeah I'm starting to see a lot more around my area of Irving. I live just down the road from The Dallas Cowboys' Valley Ranch office and I know I've seen a few of them driving AVs.

That is also the first thing I look for is the Amber DRL's

Sweetest thing I've heard from a woman in about six months. :p :2:

Yea I've noticed several waves of Av show up here in Toronto ON since May. Back then a week could go by without seeing another. But lately, if I look hard I can usually spot one somewhere during the day...

Still a pretty unique vehicle though; Toronto seems hung up on BMW X5's, Lexus 300'sj, Accura MDX, and those mercedes mini vans. I mean I'll see 10 X5's for every one Av I see... Typical week: I've seen three H2's but no Av's...

oh; Charlie Brown Christmas is on; I better run...

They have been populating this area more and more...I happen to see a lot more on the road nowadays..than say 6 months ago....and believe it or not...I lot of the one's I see in my area have NY plates.....I'm hoping that one day I see another set of amber's so I can flag down one of our one.... :B:

jamesf,

I am from Oshawa, you know east of Toronto. There are lots of AV's out here. I see at least 4 per day.

Oshawa is known to be Chevy/GM City because of GM being here and all.

:B:

Out here in Central, CA I see at least 10 a day ? (I am in Sales). Makes me smile every time, cuz I know the enjoyment the other person is having. I have tagged over thirty of them, since I've owned mine (11/20/02), and have logged everyone in my daytimer... hold on gotta go to OfficeMax to get another Color Ink Cartridge...for the CAFCNA Brochures...

I also see amber DRL's first. If I don't see them, then I look for the sticker. But haven't seen any with them.

The 72 mo 0% interest put alot of Avs on the road here.

The parking lot at GM is full of them now, most of them leased.

i'm seeing more on the road here in Newport News, Va area. however, besides the couple of us at the Rehoboth Beach GTG i have not seen one with amber lights. i guess they do not want to play with us. ???

I have yet to see an AV with amber lights here in Oshawa.

AV's are sooooooooooooooo cool, everyone should own one!!!!

I hear Santa is coming in an AV!!!

I keep seeing and taggin AVs. Well over 100 tags now (must be because I have gone through over 120 printed copies). I must have retagged one or two at some point.

The reason I bring up numbers is to show that I am seeing them and stopping to check them out when possible. I have yet to see a single Oregon AV that has any mods other than an "Avalanche" window decal over the top of one windshield. Not one set of amber DRLs nor a single club decal. (I am not including the NF_avgirl and AvaLance who I met on the Oregon Coast Meet/Run).

PDX, do you live or work anywhere near the Jenne Rd. and S.E. Foster? A few months back I was driving around the area, and within a 20 second time frame there were three Avs, including mine at that intersection. As I recall, the other two were both pewter.

I was coming home from church today and I saw a black Z-71 coming in the same direction. I noticed the driver. It must have been an 80+ year old woman, the kind that have to peer over the steering wheel to see. Well, she was driving that thing like she stole it. Beat all I've seen.

The is a one word solution: MOD

In the altered words of the Three Amigos; "Mod like the wind."

LOL I can just imagine it now... a cusion on the drivers seat for extra height and low profile tyres with a suspension drop just so that she can reach the assist steps. :D Good on ya Granny, keep up the good work. (y)

I have seen a lot more Avalanche in my area I live in Fresno Ca. and when I got my avalanche all I saw was mine and one other one that looked just like mine. Now I see them everywhere. Just yesterday I doing some christmas shopping and seen 10 of them. These trucks must be flying off the showroom floors of many of our local dealerships. No matter how many people people own these trucks they will always be unique

John, I was in Fresno today as well. I saw Four AVs in the parking lot at Fashion Fair in about 10 minutes. It took that long to find a parking place. I have seen several on the road around town but only ONE with Amber DRL.....
