I was at Pepboys today and found this Fuel Door for $40.00!!!! It's Polished so, it matches all my other toys and it's spring loaded when it open! And I got a locking gas cap for another $15... That's $55 compared to $89-110 for this ever where else!!! This one is made by Bully, the same company that makes my killer side steps...

It took about 15minutes to install, very easy... (y) (y)

P.S. That's how I spell 4x4... >:D

Are they neumatic? Do they tie in to the door lock wiring?

or are they adjustable and fixed at a height you want?

It would be cool if they could lower 8" when you unlocked the doors and then pulled up when locked. That way you could get max breakover clearance at the siderails when offroading.

I want my whole truck to just raise 8" when I put the key in the ignition.

The center part of the door opens...

As for the steps. They are fixed in place but, you can adjust the height with a screw driver (Vodka not included >:D) on each one in about 5 minutes... It locks for the diffirent height settings... That would so awesone to make them power adjusting though!!!

I got them for two reasons, one is because they are very rare and two. If I ever actualy lift my truck they can be set to the fully extended position for street driving and then adjusted up for off-roading... at the highest setting (where they are currently) they do not hang below the frame rails!!!!

So how do you open it? Do you push on center and it pops open?

I see one of those in my polished-themed future...thanks for posting the find. $40 wooooohoooo! (y) ;D

Awesome! I want one!!! I called my local pep boys and they don't have them. I don't seem them on the pep-boys website, nor do I find them anywhere online.

If anyone can find these online for about those prices, please post a link!

If anyone finds a non-locking door at their local pep-boys and wants to sell one to me - PM me. I can paypal you for the part and shipping!

???
Ditto. A part number would be good too.

Lord Aires,

I was thinking of getting the same Bully Side Steps at Pep Boys for the same reasons as you (street and off-road settings). They look great on your AV! Thanks for the pics. (y) (y) After seeing them on your AV, I will definitely pick up 2 pairs this weekend. I love the billet fuel door too and the lower price.

I already have a Bully Hitch Step as rear fender protection. It has already proven itself in a parking lot rear ender recently. I think the Bully side steps would be a nice complement to the hitch step. ;D BTW, how difficult was it for you to put on the Bully Side Steps? Do they fit properly or did you have to drill any holes?

cheers,

Avronaut

I am looking for one with a lock because of all the tree huggers who love to mess with SUVs

I have some extra alarm contacts... I know it's super easy to get wires there (ran my fill chuck for the air springs inside gas fill door) so it's easy for me to alarm the door. With a two way alarm...

Here is the part number for Pep-Boys: GD-102P
Don't Forget to get a locking gas cap, it's only $15 and you would be dumb to not protect your $60 dollars worth of gas with it...

Found the door at Pep Boys, $40.00. The door finish looks good but the two rubber nuts that secure the door latch are a very poor design and did not tighten like they were supposed to. If these would have been made of aluminum it would have been worth an extra ten bucks. It's a forty dollar door at best. I probably could make it work but I'm bringing it back tomorrow and will spend the extra money for a high quality American made door, probably Westin.
