Well, I only had these a few months when I noticed that the red cap over one of the break lights came off. It was from a day of offloading and a long stretch of a really bad washboard section of road. Figured it just shook it loose. Picking up speed didn't even smooth these washboards out.
Anyway, a friend of mine thinks we could use a heat gun and remove the cover to get the cap. Then re-silicon it back together. I'm not so sure and I'm pretty much ready to put my stock lights back on. Any thoughts?

Looks like you maybe able to remove the light housing, Hold it so the you can look up at and through the hole that that cap came off, Use a drop of superglue GEL on the edge and then slide it back into place and let dry? Just a thought

Sorry to hear about your lights Nick.  I'll have to check mine out and see if everything is holding up.

Those look like the ones that completely melted on trAVelingman's AV and started to melt on mine.? ?Beware!!

Chris

A friend of mine has/had the exact same set and his melted too.  However, I too, have the exact same set and have had them on for over a year with no signs of melting. I no I haven't changed my bulbs.  My friend asks me all the time if mine have started melting yet.

I also have the exact same ones, no melting yet and I have the all4brake light mod done.

These are what myself and trAVelingman had.

Yep those are the ones I had as well.

Mine took about three years to start melting on me. What did them in was a couple of hours on the highway with stop & go, well mostly stop traffic due to an accident.
