Bad Shocks

I have a 2004 Avalanche that has 45000 miles of  95% high way miles and the rear shocks are gone I have driven Chevy's & GMC's for the past 40 years putting as much as 250000 miles and never had to replace the shocks, any info appreciated.

I have an '03 Z71 and had a rear shock go bad (leak oil) at around 40,000.   Replaced with Rancho all around and am happy with the new ride (a little more harsh than stock).

I have gone with the adjustable Rancho RS9000XL shocks.? I have them set to 5 (Out of 9) and the ride is similar to the original Blistens on our 2002 Z71.

with Z66... get stock shocks since rear are special self load leveling...

Any other places you have run across that might carry a similar shock for less?
