I went to start my AV today and nothing happened. No lights no sound nooooo nothing. :E: :E: :E: So I popped the hood and had a look. To my surprise the positive terminal had blow off and acid flowed down to the bottom of the battery and ate the paint off the battery support. :C: Well I now have removed battery pan cleaned and repainted it. Not all back together yet waiting on the paint to dry. Hopefully all will be ok now

Was that a delco Battery?? Delco has a real problem with their battery terminals leaking acid or comeing out completly like yours. There are a lot of GM cars running around with battery trays eaten up by Delco batteries that leak acid.I have changed my vehicles out to other brand batteries..
Any one with a Delco should check every time they are under their hood for leaking terminals on battery. Just run your finger under the terminal where the cable connects to check for leaking. Catch it early and you wont do to much damage to your tray and other close in parts.
