As I see the many creative ideas people have done with their Avs, I can't help but wonder....

Has anyone painted or put decals on the bed covers?

I have seen many decals for the back glass, and the tuck in general, but thought the bed covers could be a neat place for creative ideas.

Let's see what happens!

Thanks!

I used my paint pen and painted the numbers red. Problem is it's not a location easily viewed by others. Hard to show 'em off!

I personally would like to see an AMERICAN FLAG painted on an AV bed cover. I think from front to back would be the look. And everyone from military pilots to the Semi truck drivers would see nothing but absolute support for our freedom to be able to do "mods"

I Put carbon fiber look vinyl on mine. I like the look with my painted sail panels and storage lids. I cleaned the panels real good then sanded them with 80 grit Paper on a random orbit sander to knock down the bumps. Then did the normal
vinyl application. You can paint on this or apply other decals. Here is a picture of the first two.

Ted, can you get a high-angle shot of this? It sounds interesting and I'l like a better look if possible...

I replaced my soft cover for the hard cover, however I have always thought about drawing (air brush) An awesome AV breaking threw a brick wall or something like that on the soft cover and use it on and off, for occasions

ya know I'm outside looking at my AV and i get an idea.
Why am i always a couple of hours late.

I just bought some vinyl tape and was looking at the cover.

what happens if you don't sand (water prob)?
will it stick ok w/o?

I am planning on doing it very soon. This is a faked photoshop job of what I plan on doing.

Hmmm, nice. Too bad that the Av is so high that only Semi drivers will see it.

I dont think it will stick very well if you leave it rough. but it does not need to be perfectly smooth either.
I wrapped the vinyl around the edges and sealed them.

Nice idea, Byron. That's going to look great on your truck. Is this just days away?

If just days away, you can show it off at the 19th's GTG.

:-[ Of course, letting the Hooters girls walk on your bed covers is now out of the question.

I wish. My brother and I are going to do this sometime this summer. He has a professional automotive paint setup. Right now I'm focusing on the May 1st closing on our first home. So all other expenses are on the back burner right now.
