Best Car Wax?

You'll probably get quite a few answers here, as this is a matter of opinion, but ...

I and many others can't say enough about Zaino, available at www.zainobros.com or through a local distributor.

A little pricey, but a little goes a long way, and the shine and durability are awesome.

Zaino for me...nothing better!

Zaino . . . for lots of reasons . . but one of the best is that it doesn't leave white residue on the cladding if you accidently get some Zaino on it. I've used Maguire's too - good stuff, but with all the plastic on the Av, it's just too easy to end up with a bunch of ugly spots that need some work to remove.

Oh geez. Here we go again. Out come all the Zaino worshiping cult fans.

I will admit I use it and it is very good stuff though whenever the topic comes up on these boards we will hear how this stuff once saved a life and shot a car to the moon : )

I always use 'The Wax Shop'

Oh man! That can o' worms topic again! ;) >:D

There are lots of good waxes. Understand the difference though between waxing and sealing. Zaino is a polymer sealant. If you get the paint finish absolutely cleaned, scrubbed, clay-barred, etc., you will have a true show finish. If you don't get it that clean before applying it, well, I don't know. You seal in the bad stuff along with the good stuff, I suppose.

Given enough time and effort, I really would like to Zaino my Av, but I don't know if there are enough hours in a week to do the job right, at least in my view. So for now, I'm using Meguiars Gold, which delivers a delicious shine. In between waxes, I use Meguiars spray on touch up.

:B: :B:

Why, just this afternoon I got T-boned by an out of control schoolbus, and not only were the kids safe, but I didn't even get a scratch, thanks to ZAINO >:D

Zaino for me! I used it 2 weeks ago for the first time. Everything they say is true.

I was visiting the space center back when the hubble telescope was having problems with the telescopes mirror. One of the engineers realized they could redirect the optics to bounce the light off my Av and then back into space, thus saving the Hubble mission. Even though the beam of light was highly focused it did no damage to the paint. Zaino deserves a lot of credit for developing such excellent UV protection.

My seventeen year old son is named Zaino Redshift. The kids at school tease the hell out of him. We are starting karate class this week, that will put a stop to that. I just call him ZR, he thinks that's cool!

I had always heard good stuff about "Mothers". I just waxed the Av this afternoon with it and it is ok I suppose but nothing special. Will try the McGuires next time.
I hate to admit this, and will probably catch a bunch of stuff from everybody, but I just can't sink my teeth into a "polymer sealant" (a.k.a. Zaino) I figure wax has been around for generations so I know through history how that will protect. (I too have gotten some on the cladding, it is a bit harder to get off but not THAT bad) While I might agree that Zaino gives a good SHINE, I'm not convinced that it PROTECTS as well.
I have been wrong before and may be this time, but I will have my AV a long time and it is too much of a gamble for me right now. (before the Zaino hounds attack, I may change my mind at some point and try it, I'm not ruling anything out, it is simply my opinion at this point. AND as someone mentioned earlier it does seem VERY time consuming)

Once finished with the 15 day process of applying my Zaino, I helped rescue a submurged oil tanker. The Zaino helped seal my windows shut and keep the water out. It also gave me the extra power to pull the oil tanker 500 miles through the Gulf of Mexico to safety. Then the Zaino soaked up all the excess oil to save the environment. All the little fish were happy.

Zaino when I have a month of sunshine and time.

Meguiars Gold all the other times.

. . . and just the other day after waxing with Meguiar's Gold, I saw this old plane coming down from above. ?The plane landed right next to me in a field. ?The pilot got out and said the shine from my Av blinded him and he could fly no further. As you can see from the pic, the pilot didn't look too happy about that.? ;)

Put a coat of Zaino on that boy. Nobody will be able to lay a glove on him! >:D

After using the Zaino process for the first time a week or so ago, I am happy with the results. I am not sure If I would take that much time the Zaino requires again in the near future. It does look great though. Lucky I was off for a week for easter.

On the other hand make sure you zaino the roof of your avalanche. After rolling several times down a hill,The Zaino left my avalanche without a scratch and somehow reset my miles to zero and paid off my loan. :p

After three applications of ZAINO, THe paint was so smooth my gas mileage went from 16 MPG to 38 MPG. That stuff is smooth. I was going so fast the highway patrol couldn't catch me at 149 MPH. Smooth hood you know. ZAINO and ZAINO only on my av.......

Hay I know that wax may be a wild sub. I use Liquid glass it is some good stuff. I have not tryed zaino but I may try it. It looks like it may be some good stuff. Stay safe JABBA :)

Has anybody tried something called "Zipp"? It is suppose to be a car wash but with a wax type thing in it also. I heard it is good for quick fix's between waxing or Zaino too I wouls assume,... don't know.

Zaino is what I use. I tried a lot of others and I like Zaino the best. It's not really a wax though. I got hooked on it with the Av. Wish I knew about it when I first got some of my other cars. In fact, I have had people come up to me (3 at a show this weekend), and ask if I was useing Zaino on the Av. There were no bottles out for them to see.
