My wife and I will be there on May 14th for 5 days.  I can't even wait.  any insight on what we need to see or do?  We will be doing the standard tourist things in the city, but wanted to see some things outside of Amsterdam.  Any recomendations?  can I borrow the Av for touring??? >:D
I will return the favor if and when you ever come to Washington State.  We have pretty tulips as well.
We are staying at the Hotel Delta, ever heard of it and if so and info?

I would love to go, but James seems to forget that we have basball games on the weekend and this weekend coming up even though the kids have Friday off, Nick has 2 games on Sat and we actually have to travel for these two games.

P.S.  JL, I certainly wouldn't take the Great Pumpkin.  I am going to ride in it only when necessary.  Maybe if it was red, not orange.  :laugh:

Amsterdam/Keukenhof is about 45 kilometers, The Keukenhof is in the town called Lisse.tell me what is your plan? :cool: :welcome:

Great your coming over, I don't know if its a good hotel, but it's on a very good place.http://www.hoteldelta.nl.
It's just besides a special museum were we have  been with the Amsterdam GTG 
There are pics of that visit :laugh:
We going to eat pizza by Jean Luc  ( He only doesn't no it) :laugh:
We leave to France at the 28 of April and we will be back at the 13e Mai in the late evening.
So we will be back right on time, to pick you up at the Schiphol Airport if you want and bring you to your hotel. Let me know if you want that .
Hope it's not early in the morning :rolleyes: Hope to meet you and your wife.

I know that my insurance not aloud people from outside the netherlands to drive it  >:D
But it's no problem to be your chauffeur  :drive:

That sounds awesome. we would love to be able to have our first point of destination be greeted by a nice local.? I will PM you in a bit and get more info so we can chat off line. we are excited as well.

sorry to have missed you!!  We came and went already, but had a fantastic time.  We loved your city, as well as your country.  We took a train from Centraal station up to Leiden, and then a bus to Keukenhof to see what was left of the tulips.  They told us that we missed the two weeks of hot weather, and that killed off the tulips.  There was plenty more to see and the grounds there are fantastic.  My wife and I had a great time.
We made it to all of the museums and tourist places.  I befriended the manager at Heineken, and as you can tell from my screen name, I'm a big fan.  The manager gave us a private tour of the bars and meeting rooms that they use for special occasions.  We also got to go and see the board room.  He told us that many deals have been done here.  He than proceed to give me a 'beer foam scraper' from that room.  Just told me to have it.  I was amazed.
Again, we loved everything about Holland and would love to live there.  Very much like my state of Washington.  We are now in Prague, off to Venice and other parts of Italy.  Talk with you soon.
Dank u wel on the offer for being our driver when we were there, we will take you up on in next time.
