Lottoman-see your local marine dealer. There is a device called the "One Man Loader". It is a round pipe, fastened to your hitch bar, through the hitch ball hole. This pipe has a bracket similar to a outboard motor clamp, and slides on the pipe. You need a roof rack also. To load, the boat is turned upside down, mounted on the sliding clamp. Then lift the transom of the boat to a predetermined height.(even with the roof rack). Install a pin through a hole in the pipe, (drilled by you beforehand), and this will keep the rear of the boat elevated. Lift the bow, and walk it around to the side of the AV. Place it on the roof rack, and secure with straps from each side of the roof rack, and for extra security, a strap from the bow eye to the front bumper. I have used this set up for years, without any problems. But now I have a trailer.
