Cabin Air Filter?

I would love to find out more about this. I hate the recirc in the 07 avy. I miss my old Acura Legend recirc, when it was on you could sit behind a 40 year old diesel rig belching black soot and you could not smell a thing.

I would love to install or mod a filter/cleanser and find a way to make it stay on as long as I wanted.
 
    Actually I just found this thread... I was able to sucessfully do some research on Diamond Pete's truck. They re-used the HVAC plenum from the 2005+ trucks in the 2007. So I am pretty sure that it is possible to install the cabin air filter setup into one. Hmm Maybe I can snag Pete's keys in 2 weeks and try it.

my cabin filter in my 05 works good no problems thanks johnb
 
So, what's the latest on this? I came across this link;

Says it fits a 2007? Is there a space for the filter and GM just cheaped out and didn't install one?
